 Coolness: 686315 | VLC plays DVDs fine, so does PowerDVD (my prefered choice)
You only really need a decoder if you're using WMP, and if you use WMP, well, you fail at using a computer. |

| Coolness: 686315 | ...you need software for the decoder, it comes with. At least, that's how it works with WMP; you can't play DVDs in WMP unless you have other software, like PowerDVD, installed, because the "real" software (ie, software that comes with DVD drives) installs the decoder. |

Definitely. .cue file management and a nice plugin to burn as long as you've got a version of Nero installed :) PowerDVD is great for playing DVDs, but I'm pretty sure Media Player Classic [ sourceforge.net ] plays 'em fine without having to install additionnal codecs. And I've never seen an app so lightweight. |
