Ferell also did a bang up job in Austin Powers and Old School. But its all downhill after that. Im pretty sure when Actors get a few good hits, movie studios start paying them millions to star in the shittiest movies...cuz they know there enuf members in the bone-head public will pay to see them and find it funny. |

| Coolness: 686295 | I totally can't stand chris katan. He was the weakest part of the House on Haunted Hill remake, and he was really retarded in Undead or Alive.. That's really the problem I have with most of the SNL "actors";
Whenever you see a movie with Adam Sandler, he's not acting, he's just being Adam Sandler. He's gonna have this incredibly hot love interest/wife/girlfriend, he's gonna make some jokes about being a jew, he's gonna make some jokes about having a small dick, and he's gonna have that thing where he laughs along with someone when someone makes fun of him and then screams all angry "SHUT UP!" Whenever you see a movie with Will Ferrel, he always plays the guy that seems slightly retarded and oblivious to how the world really works, and yet somehow has gotten into a position of power, even though he's got no skills or inteligence enough to fake knowing what he should be doing. Chris Farley is just gonna yell like he just got kicked in the balls and run face-first into something at every opportunity, and the rest of the time he's going to just stumble around like he's got severe brain-damage and just be a complete and total idiot. MOST (not all) of the people who've come off of SNL have ZERO ACTING TALLENT, they just have this one character that they do really well that gets shoe-horned into whatever new movie they've been cast into. Usually, this one character is mildly retarded and socialy inept, yet somehow manages to overcome his problems. And that's pretty much it! They're about as deep as a kiddie-pool when it comes to their "acting". Now, if we go back to the REAL tallent from SNL, from the 70s and 80s, you're gonna get Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase, the Belushis, Rick Moranis, Billy Crystal, Martin Short, Robert Downey JR., Phil Hartman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey... It's really no contest here when compared to everyone from the 90s on (with a few notable exceptions; Chris Rock and Mike Meyers being pretty much the only two..) |
