Here's something I started last week called "Transplant"
I guess I called it that because that's technically what I am, a transplant from Punk/Metal to Drum'n'Bass/Breakbeats. It's a good old fashioned "Ram Trilogy" style roller with a few twists I hope you enjoy it :) Let me know what you think! Thanks Host [ www.filefreak.com ] |

hard to really tell on laptop speakers, but it sounds as if it could use more deep-bass (there's always room for more!)... the hoover-ish synths are nice, and contribute to the overall atmosphere. Has a pretty DJ-friendly feel to it, which sometimes means that things stick a bit too close to established formulas (ie: sounds drifting up in pitch to signal a change in intensity - which is almost as cliche as drum-rolls in trance tracks)... when the track kicks back in after the second backspin, it begins to sound a bit too busy... not overwhelmingly so, but it doesn't leave a lot of room to start blending something in...
overall, it's solid enough... I'd probably play it if it was in my crate, but it's not likely to be the sort of thing that would become a staple for me. |

nice,
yeah, misses bass, id add (or modify) another kick, more punchyer in the 120's maybe, just to get the BAM snap BAM BAM snap and maybe another layer of bass, really subbass (maybe a sine with a little distortion on it, or something, im not really good in dnb basses anyways) just to get that vibrating feel, cause right now i really have to crank up my referencies moritor to get a nice bass vibration. overall its pretty nice, but the tune clips. id lower the sound, and remove any compressor /limiters on the master bus, so it doesnt clip, and compress it externally! damn, your good, really makes me think of ram trilogy, the drum and the pattern of the bassline
I'm feeling hardcore right now.. |

Sounds good, professionnal. I really enjoy the whole bassline & the backspin, (VEC?). The feeling is excellent but for now it sounds like many other tracks of that type.
