I've actually got the 12" single for this track, remixed by Arthur Baker... as well as the 12" for The Wrestlers doing Land Of 1,000 Dances. Believe me when I tell you that Land Of 1,000 Dances is INFINITELY worse!

A friend once told me that everything you need to know about promotion can be learned from wrestling. I'm not sure that he's entirely right, but when it comes right down to it, they've certainly mastered some aspects... hyping the feature, creating excitement, building anticipation... as he pointed out, pro-wrestling on television is essentially an info-mercial to sell their pay-per-views... and it's pretty much the only info-mercial that can rent out ad-space to other companies!

GOONIES ANY1 ???

which, aherm, leeds me to a funny story from my past... I think on my 4th or 5th bday party, my dad went out and rented goonies for me and my friends, it had just come out on vhs. Only, my dad didnt read the box he picked up very carefully, and he actually brought home a diferent movie with a similar title...

Several minutes into the movie, when this nakid women was strapped to a large stone and stabbed several times in the chest with a ritual devil knife and my friend kenny started crying and the rest of the kids were super creeped out, my dad checked the rental box and realized that he had rented goolies by accident!!!

One of the best bday bloopers evah!

I really wish horror movies were as good as they were in the 80s. Hell, even DVDs have 'ruined' horror.. I finally watched a rip of The Thing last night, first time seeing it wide-screen and not on a 4th generation tape.. The movie is still good, but it's too.. clean! You can see so much more detail that was best left obscure in the grainyness of VHS..

It works for some movies, but for others, I think cleaning up the print really doesn't cut it.. I think I'm gonna need to put that widescreen version onto a VHS and then just ping-pong it back and forth with another tape untill it's grainy and washed out to be able to appreciate it again.

Anyways, was freakin so funny, me and the gf watched a bit of it on scream and there was this one dude who forgot his boom box in the house of horror and wanted to go back and kept saying " but dude, I left my tunes in there" hehehe, awesome script...

yeah, that's the 2nd one! That's the first one that I saw when I was younger.. That's a serries that also went kinda like evil dead (only the 3rd Ghoulies movie really, really sucked).. the first movie was horror, the 2nd was horror-comedy, and the 3rd was more comedy (in this case, stupid-comedy)

If you wanna find some more great trashy movies (not just horror) you should check out the torrent site [ Cinemageddon.org ] it's dedicated to all the bad, cheezy movies you remember seeing in video stores but never actually rented.. Some amazing stuff to be found on there!

let's not mince words here... Troll probably has more craft than all of the Leprechaun films combined... but... there's just something special about it...
