i think the subject of bm is very interesting. human do it since so long. and at some extent, everybody has bm. clipping nails, hair dye, corset, plastic surgery, permanent make-up, tattoo, piercings, suspension...ect it have been studies through the years in different cultures. but i still don't really know what really happen with that in the western world during the last 50 years. in a lots of tribes it's a ritual, a obligate passage for every members. the tribe members often get all the same modification typical to the tribe. for example, in america everybody i have met had a different reasons to alternate their physical apparence. some do it because it's fashion and can be a pretty accessory, other often do it because they have an incredible rush during the session; they don't really care much about the jewel. (me often i wear the jewel for few months and i'm done with it.next>) i think almost all reason is right to do what you want with your own body. some do it a little and other goes to the extreme. anyway the choices and alternatives are ilimited! since the end of the nuclear family era, i feel maybe that we lost some of our rituals. and our primitive instinct kick in at some point and at different degree.. then you get your septum done. i don't know.. i'm very curious of the people who get to the extreme. i wonder how they live before and now to get to the point to want to look like hmmm example, a lizard or a iguana(!??!) |

There are some crazy gagets out there but this one has me virtually cowering under my desk and feeling ever so slightly queasy. Yes, on the left is eye jewelry from Eric Klarenbeek.
