is eb games a store in mtl? or just online? Update » Choda_Bean wrote on Thu Apr 24, 2008 @ 2:12am nevermind, seems theres a lot around, i just never noticed the name of the stores, i havent bought anything to do with gaming for years....
usually just download games on mu p.c. but i want a ps2 for my bedroom Update » Choda_Bean wrote on Thu Apr 24, 2008 @ 2:16am oh and sumone gave me thier ps2 console, a month ago or so, in trade for a computer part, except my friend had taken apart the ps2, trying to see its motherboard, and cpu, etc etc, for his own educational purposes.
when i got it, it hadnt been really put back together properly, most of it is, but theres loose screws and the thin wire connecting the case, to the motherboard has been disconnected. apart from that, theres no cables for it, or controllers, mem cards, so im guessing it could be pricey just to buy all the pieces i need. im sure for the same price, i could find one used. ALL you people out there who bought ps3's.......sumone must have an old ps2 lying around??? lemme know!

I'm getting a ps3 in a couple of weeks. I suppose I could sell you my ps2 if you don't have one by then.
I'll PM you once I get it. But seriously... You could find one dirt cheap at a blockbuster if they have any in stock.
I'm feeling cool right now.. |

Well, like I mentioned earlier. Someone came into my store and bought one with a game and it came to about $90. The console alone was roughly $70. Unless I'm confusing that with a PS1, in which case I'm a complete idiot, a PS2 is pretty inexpensive.
Again, if you don't have one by the time I get my PS3, I'll sell mine to you with a controller for $75. And if you want any of those games I don't play, I'll just give em to you... Or you can trade them to me for drugs, or something.

I work in Lasalle, on Newman, and I know we don't have any left. Try the one on Sherebroke, or even on Saint-Catherine's. Apperantly, the one in Cote-Saint-Luc has a larger gaming inventory, so it might be possible that they have more consoles in stock.
Again, if I've mislead you on the price, you can call me a dick-headed moron, but I'm pretty sure that's the price we're selling them at.

you could also get yourself an xbox and softmod it.. it's the fuckin' bomb! Put emulators for all sorts of consoles on it, play any and every movie and music format you can throw at it (off CD, DVD, or streaming directly off shared folders on your computer if it's networked).. you can check movie trailers from Apple, it auto-updates the weather, there's a free online thing to replace Live, so you can still play games online (just not share stats like live) including some of the multi-player emulators..

I got an Xbox from my another friend last Autumn. He had a mod ship install. There are already xbox games on it. Including Arcade emulators, and most of the precursors Console emulators. If i have the time, i could figure out how it works, but there's enough games in there for me to be casually gaming.
As for multi-players, i only like FPS and RTS, and those i play on the PC. |

Disconnected as in "ripped apart"? IIRC, that thin cable simply connects to the power/eject buttons, but if it's been ripped apart, it's gonna be a bitch finding a replacement. I've seen second-hand PS2s at the EBGames on St-Hubert/Jean-Talon 'bout a month ago. Can't recall the price though. You'd be better off simply calling the individual stores to see if they have some in stock.
