Are you fucking kidding me? There's something deeply disturbing and horribly wrong with this contraption. I don't give half a shit about what their motivations might be; this is a clear breach of our constitutional rights. I'm appalled that something like this is being tested on our city streets and even being considered for future use.

On se calme, c'est un tone a 16khz, comme celui de ta télé. Si le bruit du tube cathodique de ta télé ne t'importune pas, t'as pas grand chose a craindre.
C'est probablement moin dangereux que ton ipod.
this thing with the frequency where only people under 25 can hear; there's a cellphone ring tone you can get that does essentially the same thing, seen it on a few peeps' razr phones.....
Change your tv, get a flat screen.
The mosquito or whatever they call it, basses itself on the assumption that most peoples over the age of 25, have enough hearing loss to not hear the 16khz tone. But obviously thats a pretty broad generalization.
If I could afford a better TV, I'd totally have one..
that's a fuckin' stupid system though. I guess they don't care about their cahseirs or bag-boys that are under 25.. all those highschool kids trying to work a summer job are gonna get a great surprise.
16k seems low to me, even after the amount of loud music i've listened to, i can hear dog whistles still. They should put it closer to 20k (the average limit of human hearing)
16khz is actualy quite high up there, dog whistles arent a reference (probably more around 10khz) . Most peoples cant hear 20khz exept for Infants and young women. (womens hearing goes higher than men)
