""very little in the way of evidence or argument, and a lot in terms of rhetoric and disingenuous strong arm tactics.". yes religious people need not prove anything, they have faith (in fact a three major monotheistic say that those who have faith don't need to have anything proven to them) Science desperatly needs to prove something (ie god isn't real) but hasn't done that, i'm sorry i just don't think i have ever heard of or seen the peer reviewed study written up and published in a respected scientific periodical like Nature or the Proceedings of the National Accademy of Sciences, that does just that(proves god doesn't exist), however i maybe wrong, perhaps it was published in a less known publication, i guess it's just not that pressing of an issue to get that much attention. one last thing... "Which brings me to my next point.
