Update:

Church of Scientology drops direct names and adresses of Anonymous members on Youtube:

And from Wiki:

YouTube user "AnonymousFacts", which Radar Online described as an associate of Scientology, displayed the names and personal information of several supposed Anonymous members and accused the group of violent threats and terrorism. YouTube quickly took the video down and suspended the "AnonymousFacts" account.

Scientology lies about not sending lawyers to threaten members:

From Wiki:
The Church of Scientology sought an injunction and a restraining order to prevent Anonymous from protesting on March 15, 2008, citing threats allegedly made by Anonymous. Both the injunction and the restraining order were denied.

On March 31, 2008, Radar Online reported that representatives of law firms delivered legal letters to suspected Anons, often at their homes; and that one Boston organizer for Anonymous was served with a summons to appear at an April 16 hearing on charges of trespassing and criminal harassment.

New protest will happen on April 12th.

Montreal Scientologist rent a truck to hide the manifestation but park it in front of a fire hydrant. Hilarity ensues. (in the second half of the video). First half shows a Scientology "[hotograph", getting pics of the protesters.

I think everyone who posted here should read Moonwebs by Josh Freed. It's about how someone becomes a cult member (specifically, the National Unification Church led by Sun Young Moon).

Basically the main difference between a cult and a religion is that a cult is much more likely to demand a MANDATORY monetary contribution. According to CoS doctrine, (and I might be oversimplifying) for 250,000$ you can be guaranteed a place in heaven. Hmmm, cult or religion?

They're all the same thing to me.

I passed by the April 12th manif while in the 97 Mont-Royal bus this last Saturday and there barely were any people (my guess is, that was due to the extremely disgusting weather). The rare few who were there, were particularly energetic.

First of, South Park is not retarded. It might be crude and blasphemous but it hits satire and social commentary right on the head. Also, Isaac Hayes left because of the Scientology episode. It seems obvious to everyone but you. He left after the episode, "due to religious intolerance". Thing is, he had been in episodes in which he made fun of Muslims, Christians, Jews, etc. That makes him a hypocrite.

And that makes you a hypocrite. You were all fire and brimstone when names of Scientologists were given but when it's the Church that does the thing, "what goes around comes around"? No. A bad thing, as you've so well made us understand, is bad no matter who does it.

Anyway, I can't believe this thread is over 1000 hits. I might start being paranoid (hah!). I can guarantee you that the kids picketing the Montreal church had nothing to do with DOS attacks. LEAVE THEM KIDS ALONE! *mascara*

I just think protesters should maybe attack so many things other
then religion!I do feel for families that have been seperated
because of there faith but the same thing can aply to someone
always on the net and not there for the family! ect...

As for the kid, well maybee it will discourage people
from jumping on the atheist bandwagon just for kicks!
Maybe go do benevolat for blind racoons if they r trying to do useful actions.
As for manifesting in Montreal its pretty useless
because everybody there is quite poor and actually
nice people trying to help people(i know its hard 2 beleive in this day and age)
The real power of the church is in flag(L.A)!

As for chef well so he chose scientology
before south parc which shows he has integrity!
And i don'T think it was a small check he got working on the show!
I'm feeling bits, and bits n bits right now..

Who said anything about atheism? There are many Christians against Scientology. Everyone has a right to protest what they feel is endangering their own.

And please; every religion is attacked/protested, one way or another. There were people picketting the Boston churches during the sex scandals. There are people voicing their opinion on zionist jews all over the radio and Internet. Religion takes control of people where the law can't (and people protest laws, too). I really don't see why you think people are being unfair at Scientology. Actually, it's quite the opposite.

Until now, people barely voiced their concern about your religion. Now, it's just the same as every others.

If Isaac Hayes has shown "integrity" by choosing the CoS before the show, then he's a fucking hypocrite for making fun of other people's faith. To not see it is to be pretty biased or stupid.
