i had to get away: intro makes a good opener. the ambiance is very nice too. melancholy/boredom type thing... guntreal: reminds me of dre's style (music-wise) but the violin sound is terrible. dumb bitch: oh yeah! partaaay! love the brasses (where d'you rip'em from?) all in all, lovely stuff man. production is mostly up to par besides some bass problems. vocals right on the spot, flow is excellent. I'd personally add some measure of actual musical instruments...maybe a small guitar/piano line here and there to humanize the whole thing, but that's personal. keep it coming. (ffs.. delete Tom and A Place For Canadians.... ) |

sumtimes i get the bass really OFF due to my sound setup.....sounds amazing in my room, but it comes out too loud n whatnot sumwhere else.... wtv, the addiction track got rated in the top 20 underground hip hop tracks of 2007 on Off The Hook on ckut 90.3fm, despite the bass! |

| Coolness: 220660 | well yea, of course thats the end goal of these projects, The Addiction track is going on PENZO GRITTYs album, which will be mastered proffessionally in a couple of months, along with a couple other projects that we're werking on, that should drop this spring or summer.
and the "that dumb bitch" track has Cynical Slik rapping on it, and is for our album that we're werking on, that wont be ready till at least the end of summmer since its all my productions, and i'm doin my best to absolutely love every beat thats going on it, opposed to just filling in the blanks to get the cd finished "on time" (plus im waiting for a couple other guest mcs to record sum vocals too) we have about 4 other finished tracks together, might rerecord sum of the vocals, and add scratches and back vocals etc...but we're getting there... any advice for good mastering studios? friends family etc etc etc......?? |
