No they're playing 'batman' at an emo convert instead of moshing, and the participants watch them do so in disgust.

Some actually think it's neat.

lmao

At the rob zombie show like 6-7 years ago one of those idiots who think a moshpit is for being a ninja kicked me in the head, so I ripped out his "hardcore" back of the neck peircing.

Fuckin' douchebags.

Thats why I was more into breakdancing than moshing when I was younger, a lot less violent ;)

I like watching mosh pits though...its a fascinating social ritual

Those lame-ass karate moves broke my nose, the last time I moshed. Still, nothing like it to release some tension.
I'm feeling fine right now..

...

In 2007 I've seen parties with locals only range from 10$ to 25$, and parties with headliners range from 15$ to 30$, so the $$$ question is kind of a moot point. But, if a situation arises where you do have to make a decision on a rave with heads or locals and $ is involved, refer to Breathe's first comment. Either way, locals will be playing at both of those hypothetical parties.

Sometimes locals suck, and sometimes the invited headliners are very dissapointing. You gotta just do some research, and take some chances. I believe a good balance of raves with locals and heads is key. Another good way of supporting you locals for a cheap price is checking them out when they play at a bar or club. There a bunch of "soirees" these days, so catch those gigs too.

Finally, there are also some headliners that are so appreciated that they come back here often, and have practically become locals themselves...and headliners that have never been here before provide a new sound, a new experience. Both situations are great too, so...so I have no where else to go with this...Support your local scene! And your local promoters who bring headliners to give us something differently intersting and grandiose...Either way, we're still raving in MTL... .. .
