| Coolness: 158915 | I finally saw Repo: the Genetic Opera.
I was supposed to see it at last year's Fantasia but wasn't able to. So I bought it (I buy movies sometimes 0_O;) Repo is a slasher/musical, about a near-future world where organ failures are commonplace. A company, GeneCo, rents out organs for those who can't afford permanent transplants. But miss a payment and the repomen are sent to snatch the organ back. I don't know how I feel about the movie. I think the story is pretty classic for a musical/opera. X number of characters who don't know each other much other than on the surface, come to clash through the movie until the tragic end. Nothing surprising there. I think my biggest problem was the uneven singing level of the actors. For instance, they have Sarah Brightman there. She's a friggin opera singer and THE original Christine in the Phantom of the Opera play. Anthony Stewart Head (who did Giles in Buffy) is also perfect in his role. On the other end of the spectrum, you have Paris Hilton, who can't sing worth shit and Bill Moseley, who I normally adore but can't sing either. I know that the movie tries to make us understand that they HAVE to sing bad, as they play bad people but come on.... a bit of consistency wouldn't hurt. Still, I watched it twice already and woke up with one of the songs running in my head, so I guess it's the kind of movie I'll keep watching forever :) |

Et la personne qui joue sa fille c'est Alexa Vega, qui chante bien à sa façon. C'était la fille dans Spy Kids. Elle est maintenant majeure et ça confond mes deux têtes :P |

 Coolness: 186035 | Zack and Miri Make a Porno: vraiment bon, vraiment drôle et même vraiment cute. Y'a une scène que j'aurais enlever parce qu'elle était beaucoup trop quétaine avec sa morale ça changeais toute l'ambiance du film, qui ressemblait vraiment à rien de ce qu'on avait vu même si c'est une histoire d'amitier/amour.
sans la scène trop quétaine, le film aurait été parfait, mais la scène malgré tout ne gâche vraiment rien au fait que ce film est excellent ne pas avoir eu besoin de rentrer travailler, je l'aurais surement ré-écouter 1 ou 2 fois dans la journée haha |
