Pineapple express....i was so baked i laugh my ass off but i don't remember one fuckin quote!
ok got one:
Saul: This is like if that Blue Oyster shit met that African Kush I had - and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Northern Light stuff I had and the Super Red Espresso Snowflake met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked - this would the shit that they birthed.
Dale Denton: [smells the marijuana] Wow. This is the product of baby fucking.

I keep hearing people say that. I liked Casino Royale (though not my favorite Bond movie). I hope to like Quantum, even if it makes no sense that Judy Dench is the same M that she was in the Goldeneye era.
I'm feeling happy right now..

Well, Casino Royale was supposed to be his first assignment, wasn't it? Nice to see the cell-phones and laptops were so wide-spread back in 1953.

The world of retcon is so wonderful.

It's just that, story-wise, M replaces the second M and it's pretty much established that she's new to Bond in Goldeneye.

And now she's in Casino Royale as the first M, so I guess they went Batman Begins on the series and this has nothing to do with the rest?
I'm feeling happy right now..

Pretty much. The director himself he wanted to take the bond series away from the traditional ladies-man laden with high-tech gadgetry. I hope to Quantum as much as I liked Casino Royal, but like most movies these days, I'm not raising the bar too high.

Pulse 3

ughhh why do I do this to myself? for the love of god let this be the last one. It's sooooorta open for a sequel at the end, but please.. no more..

I'm never going to understand some of the filming "technique" in the movie.. Too much obvious green-screen.. But like, they'll film a scene with the girl infront of a green-screen, and then she walks towards it like she's going down the road/path/whatever, and then they fade her out just before her feet show while fading her in on the picture that's projected on the green screen.

What the FUCK? I mean hellOOOO, you have the bitch there on location. Why not film her talking/staring at the camera/being emo ON LOCATION, rather than just drag her out to the middle of nowhere, tell her to turn around and start walking down the street, and then yell out "CUT! Ok, that's a wrap, we'll film the rest of the scenes here in studio and digitaly edit in the location we're at RIGHT NOW!"

I tend to kinda like that whole effect, but only when it fits the style of the movie (like, say, Vodicq, for example).. here it just reminded me of all those bad computer games from the early 90s that was just short movies of actors infront of blue-screens with computer-generated backgrounds added in.. Stuff like 7th Guest, 11th Hour, and a whole slew of bad Sega CD games...
I'm feeling older right now..

The Day the Earth stood still

Loved it!!! It ends very weird, but I thought it was pretty good. But honestly, it does not help me love humans. I still think they are retarded mother fuckres, and this movie just proves it. :D

Babine

Went with the girlfriend. I'm usually really hesitant to watch Quebec movies (the last I saw, Tout est Parfait, really disgusted me with all the Plateau edginess it tried to promote). Babine changed my mind though; it brought me back to the days of Matusalem and other fantastic movies.

It's a proof that Quebec movies can still be made, in which the atmosphere is very Quebecois but not suffocated by this worship of the mediocre that we like so much. It's a beautiful little film and our version of the fantastic movies of the 80s, like Labyrinth and Princess Bride.

The man character is good enough but was really sold me was Luc Picard's performance. Just amazing, from a guy whose first big role was a junky undercover cop in Omerta, I promise that you come out of the movie, wanting Luc as your father.
I'm feeling happy right now..

Moi j'ai adorée! Les acteurs étaient incroyable, la facon dont le film était filmer itoo.
C'était un peu prétencieux par moment mais c'est tout.

J'ai hate de voir babine!
