Saw Zombie Strippers and The Cook.

Zombie Strippers is a weird mix between softcore porn and zombies. It features Jenne Jameson and a few other starlets and while it features zombies, it's really just there to show tits.

Still, it was better than most of the softcore porn I've seen. I still prefer Repenetrator.

As for the Cook, it's your basic "slash killer goes after sorority chicks". Nothing new. Hungarian guy cooks his clients.

Triple extacy: HOT!

i can't wait to see rambo 4. i missed it on theater!

recently i watched too much stuff. there's an echantillon:

- diary of the dead by george a. romero : 2/10. how romero can come with something that bad. i mean EVERYTHING is bad about that flick. i cannot believe how bad it was. is this master regressing? the screenplay, narration work, acting, cinematography is atroce. and not in the int. sens of the term! they are doing a sequel. *sigh* i went and watched night of the living dead after just to remember that this director is pure genius. sad.

- the laramie project by moises kaufman : 8.5/10. excellent movie mixing different style of cinema. the casting is very impressing. it made me cry. rip matthew shepard. :(

- may by lucky mckee : 9/10. one of my favorite movie in the categorie "horror tale".. angela bettis is excellent. she was so good also in girl, interrupted. anna faris is hilarious as always. it gave me taste for watching again greg araki's smiley face.hehe

i love lasagna

god Diary of the Dead was so fucking horrible.. this is a review from someone on another board, and it's absolutely a perfect review of it and I agree on everything:

It sucked bad.

It was "Bruiser" bad. Actually, I think I may have disliked Bruiser slightly less.

Keep in mind that that this is coming from a guy who has liked all of Romero's zombie films up until this point. George just really dropped the ball with this one. It is the Phantom Menace of Romero's dead films.

Here's a sample of the dialogue you can expect: "It used to be us against us. Now it is us against them...only they are us."

I am the walrus! Googoogajoob!

*********************************Spoilers ahead**********************************

From the start the movie felt more like a made for Sci-Fi Channel production. As soon as the voice-over narration started in, I knew the film was in deep trouble. One of the characters acts as narrator and explains that the documentary makers have added creepy music in the hopes that it will cause their audience to be frightened. Ummmm....uh...sure.

The main characters are making a horror film in the beginning, despite making it clear that they are all more oriented toward making documentaries. They are making a really lame mummy movie. It looks more like something film students would make in the 1960s. This only purpose this seems to serve is so Romero can take a poke at modern zombie films with running zombies. The character of Jason states "You are moving too fast. Undead walk slowly."

This is followed by a character bitching that they are in the fourth night of a three day shoot. Just moments later this is contradicted by another character stating that it is the first night of shooting. For some reason the student's film professor is on set. He's also a stereotypical drunken British guy who loves nothing more than Charles Dickens and a bottle of scotch. He fits into the film about as well as if Romero had dropped an Eskimo into the movie complete with parka, harpoon and a pouch full of whale blubber.

Within moments their painful dialogue exchanges are interrupted by a radio broadcast that there have been 6 reported incidents of the dead returning to life. Immediately Mummy-boy and some blond chick head to his house. The rest all go on a road trip after checking back at their dorms. Despite the news just getting out and there being only a handful of incidents...everywhere the characters go is already a ghost town as soon as they leave their film set.

There are constant complaints about how the mainstream media is covering up what is happening. The only place anyone can find the truth is online. Despite the fact that everyone the protagonists encounters is fully aware of the situation and they even witness online footage of zombie activity in Tokyo, the narrator insists that the general public is unaware of what is happening in their own backyards because they apparently need Fox News to explain to them that little Bobby is chewing on their arm because he is a zombie. I get the analogy...but c'mon, this just feels forced and silly.

Later there is a very unsubtle poke at racism that just rings hollow. It also continues to continuously discuss modern media excessively to the point where it contradicts itself and ultimately seems to lose whatever point it is so rabidly trying to make. Twice in the film the same character says "If it doesn't happen on film, it's like it never happened, right?" Not only is this a needless repeat, it is a needless repeat of a statement made in The Blair Witch Project nearly a decade ago.

Much like Cloverfield, the characters here are obnoxious...only they aren't the slightest bit believable. Everything that comes out of their mouths sounds lines being read from a bad script and never comes close to natural dialogue. The only likable character is a deaf Amish guy named Samuel. I was cheering for that guy the moment he showed up and began to think that maybe the movie was going to be saved after all by it having a character I actually cared about. For having no spoken dialogue, he probably also had the best lines in the film. Sadly, the film destroys this glimmer of hope within moments of his introduction...in a death so physically impossible that Itchy & Scratchy would shake their heads in disbelief.

Ultimately things come full circle as the remaining survivors show up at Mummy-boy's mansion. Days have passed since they parted ways with him, and he is at home where he has access to his own clothes...yet he's still wearing the mummy costume. Why? So he can turn into a zombie and chase the girl from the beginning all over again of course! She screams and runs for her life, while the camera guy shouts "See. I told you the undead walk slowly!" Brilliant. The only clear point made by Romero in the film...He didn't like the running zombies in the Dawn remake...and he had to say it twice...and make the characters do stuff that made no sense just to accomplish it.

*******************************end spoilers**************************************

This movie was basically 2 hours of watching an aging hippie beat a dead horse while ranting stuff about media, conservatives and the military that is either incoherent in its delivery or just shit you've already heard him speak of far more eloquently when he was at his prime. It was Diarrhea of the dead.

I saw May recently also.. I dunno, it was OK, but I didn't really get into it.. I'd not heard anything about it, other than it was good.. and I found it was OK, but nothing as special as everyone seems to be hyping it up to be..

Oh yeah, Diary of the Dead was awful. I agree with Samuel's potential, too. He was up there with Braindead's priest, kicking ass for the lord.

I didn't like Land and I didn't like Diary. Romero should retire. I love the original trilogy but he's getting less and less coherent.

(I didn't like Land because of the fucking plot holes, contradictions and shitty scriptwriting. The ending had been exiting the theater enraged).

Pft. I loved it. But then, I don't get what people hated from the movie (other than some people's disdain for Shia, which I don't share).

Some say it's the source behind all of the story (not going to spoil anything) but when you've seen the Power of God, some hindu heart-pumping powers and the f-ing graal, and if you ACCEPT those, you can't complain about the f-ing crystal skulls. My two cents :D

My problem with it was too much suspension of disbelief required to enjoy a lot of the scenes..

The first thing that got me irritated was the whole thing with how magnetic it was. It's got such a strong magnetic field that the TINY amount of metal in gunpowder flies towards it like a cloud of dust on a breeze from a WHOLE WAREHOUSE away, and when they're right next to it and open it up and take it out, their guns are fine, the gunpowder in their bullets/grenades aren't being pulled to it, their zippers and buttons are still intact.. And how the fuck did they fly it? A strong magnetic field like that will disrupt the gyro and the compas in a plane, and I doubt they drove all the way down with it..

And the lead-lined fridge? I'm guessing it was also completely heat-proof and padded for people to stay inside of it?
The monkies that attack communists? (I guess the apes don't like the reds, either).
The whole tarzan scene was fucking laaaaaaame. Yeah, you swinging through trees is able to catch up to speeding cars.
Over 3 200foot waterfalls and he's still got his hat on, let alone they didn't hit any rocks or land upside down?

Hell, at the end, they even called one of their own goofs! "Wait, gold isn't magnetic..."

I had no problem with the crystal skull and what it turned out to be. Everything up untill that was just fucking stupid.
I'm feeling the beast right now..
