hahaha Planet Terror is totally the best zombie movie since Return of the Living Dead

I just watched Spookies. Kinda weird, but a nice slice of 80s cheeze.. It's actually 2 totally unrelated movies that were unfinnished and edited together into one movie..

Taking a wrong turn, travelers find themselves trapped in a mysterious house. One horror after another threatens them as the sorcerer who lives within needs sacrifices to give eternal life to his beautiful bride.

totally great!
I'm feeling the no pussy blues right now..

Run, Fatboy, Run.

I was scared at first because David Schwimmer is the director but my fanboy love for Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Hank Azaria was enough to make me want to see what is basically a love story.

Pegg plays a man who ran away from the pregnant girlfriend he was about to marry. Many years later, an out of shape Pegg finds out that the girl is about to marry a rich American (Azaria) who's practically perfect. When he realizes that the man is to run a 26-miles marathon, he vows his ex that he will do it too, so that he can show that he is not a coward and can actually finish something for once in his life.

It's a weird mix. It's one part American love story and one part British humour. Touching but not so interesting. What really makes the movie fun is Dylan Moran's performance as a shady, "rock star wannabe" cousin. The fact that you see his ass 2-3 times in the movie did not help, however.

The movie is flawed the way American movies are flawed but it's cute. The kind of love movie that in which the guy won't feel like throwing up at the end.

I saw a little bit of something weird this week end.

"Cecile B demented" I think the name was... To be honnest, it was on TV and I was zapping and I only stopped because a guy was runing in the air (like he was stock) and yelled : "HELP! I'm stock in a K hole!" and it made my laugh.

I could not listen to more than 10 mins, but it looked weird.

As anybody seen it? is it any good? should I rent it?

The Mist - Fucking WOW. Some crap CG at points, but overall it's like "what happens outside Black Mesa durring Half Life" in a movie.. And the ending is the most shocking and depressing ending I've ever seen in a movie. In a world where no movie makes it out without studios changing things to fit the rating, how this ending slipped through is a fucking miracle. Cruel doesn't even begin to describe it properly. Totally worth watching just for the ending.

Forbiden World (AKA Mutant) - Cheeeeeeeeese. Some sort of space bounty hunter goes to help a research station that has some weird creature that mutates and kills people. Also has sex with all of the women on staff. Aparently, the best way to kill a creature that absorbs genetic material and assimilates it to get stronger is to feed it cancer.

Sleepwalkers - Stephen King movie about two incestuous shapeshifting vampire-cats that live off the souls of virgins. Cat scratches and bite are like acid to these things. The best part about the movie is the scene where you get Stephen King, Joe Dante, Tobe Hooper and Clive Barker all together for a quick cameo.

And, it's not a movie, but I've only got 2 seasons of Red Dwarf left to watch...
I'm feeling like cheezing right now..

Not really a movie but Wonder Showzen season 2. I had seen both seasons before, while incredibly intoxicated. Now, watching it mostly sober...

There's no difference. It's cyborgalicious.

* Trevor: "Fifteen girls? Somewhere, fifteen frat guys are missing their punching bags."

The best part of it, besides Vernon Chatman getting more shows to make, is that the Trevor of the Beat Kids segments will star in the Love Guru, his first big movie. He was awesome on WS. :D
