I know someone who smoked pot and ended up in the hospital for 3 days, because it had a serious effect on his bipolar disorder + medication. If it were legal, they could actually test for these types of interactions.

Thats like saying all alcohol should have warning signs to not mix with... and then list all medications not compatible.
Think before you smoke weed, its like any consumption, find out if its safe to do with the medications you are prescribed to.

ex: If I do decided to drink I know not to take asperin before or afterwards
Be honest with your doctor and ask hi if your able to smoke pot with your meds. thats what they are there for, and everything is kept confidential

btw good documentary called In Pot We Trust that follows the medicinal use of marijuana
I'm feeling jointful right now..

THATS WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR, AND EVERYTHING IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL BTW GOOD DOCUMENTARY CALLED IN POT WE TRUST THAT FOLLOWS THE MEDICINAL USE OF MARIJUANA

Well it would be more like adding a "do not consume with marijuana" label to the medication bottle. I get what you mean though, you can just ask your doctor. Although I think your doctor should tell you without you even having to ask. It seems silly not to give warnings on somehting just because it's illegal. They know people still take it and they also know that there are probably very few madications that react weirdly to marijuana unlike alcohol which always has the warnings.

the thing is that they did not test the med with pot, as pot is illegal, you arent supposed to take it anyway

how can your doctor warn you of something he may not even be aware of, meds arent tested with pot ...

Medical marijuana is legal in places, and the people that are supposed to be taking it are generally also supposed to be taking a whole pile of other prescription drugs (ie, people undergoing chemotherapy for cancer).

ultimate proof that decriminalizing dope does absolutely nothing is the netherlands, despite having lax drug policies it is one of the most well run, safe and prosperous places on earth.

If anything it leads me to believe there is something seriously wrong with Canadians if we are smoking so much pot vs. a country where it is actually legal.
