I got nailed in the metro for taking pictures of my friends by security guards telling me that under the terrorist act.. it was illegal. I saw an old man downtown get nailed by a security guard for taking a picture with a tripod, also apparantly illegal under the terrorist act... but promoting a new paintball arena alongside the transformers movie were soldiers in full gear with machine guns parading around the paramount(inside and out) giving kids high fives and getting their pictures taken with silly bitchez.. thats ok. Sickening and most distasteful... tonight I am embarrased to be a human.
I'm feeling 16 693? right now.. |

I've always had a problem with CG in movies. 99.9% of the time, you watch a movie with CG creatures or effects, and you can tell it's obviously CG. The creatures/effects are done i a way that you can blatantly tell that scenes were filmed without whatever was added in later.
Transformers is the first movie I've seen since Jurasic Park where the CG is so seamlessly blended in with the actors that it looks like they were actually there, filming with the cast and crew. It's beyond amazing. The acting mostly comes off as a big-budget B-movie, but really, anyone going to see Transformers and expecting a Lynch-depth plot is going to see if for the wrong reasons. Seriously, everyone, drop what you're doing as soon as you see this message, and get your ass to a theater. No excuses.

My question is, what are you doing about it...other than posting on a Transformers thread on [ Rave.ca ] Well for starters .. I didn't go see Transformers and have sequentially decided to boycott it on many levels I had previously considered participating in as I am a pretty diehard fan. I did attempt to confront the manager of the theatre but seeing as it was a busy night he seemed rather (perhaps conveiniently) occupied on the phone, so Im hoping the letter I've composed will have atleast some impact. I've never felt so strongly about something as to react this way in the past, so other than that I must admit I am at a loss beyond this point. And for the record.. no they cant "bust" you but they did ask me to delete the images with "terrorist reconnaissance" as the reason, and the old man was sent on his way promptly with a warning for the same reasons. I did question the guard after his intervention (this was at PVM) and even he seemed to feel a bit of remorse but explained that he was simply following protocol. Update » Br34th3 wrote on Wed Jul 4, 2007 @ 7:54pm Regardless, I would like to know if this is a general publicity campaign or just a serious lack of judgement on behalf of the Paramount Cinema brass... as I mentioned before there was alot of promo surrounding the paintball arena combined with the transformers propaganda.
