m3lang3 ---> it seems that all those files are not .wav .. I didn't checked them all but them one I thought would be interesting were in an unknown *extension* (I don't know the word for that.. totally frenchy here :P )
is there anything I can use to make these files .wav? I found a few programs but it doesn't work or makes it sounds like shit :P Should I try to find .wav sound or another program? thanks again for your help! ;D PaLy

If you go to the search page: [ freesound.iua.upf.edu ] you can search for wav in the filenames; this brings up 1463 results. I just checked this one: [ freesound.iua.upf.edu ] and it's a 44.1 KHz 16-bit stereo wav.

You might want to just sample track that have sounds that you like.
For violin check out Outside by Aphex Twin or Dirty Beats by Roni Size, or instead of samples, you might want to check out some VSTs (virtual synths). [ www.kvraudio.com ] is a good place to start. Also, you might want to check out some of these [ www.steinberg.net ] Good Luck |

Yeah some of those VSTs can get really good string sounds. One of the most important things with that is getting the right reverb on them to sound like they're recorded in an actual room.
I'm feeling bleh right now.. |
