If the world had never seen a country called USA then some other country would be doing what they're doing today.. who knows, maybe the English would still be controlling the world..

Yeah but the most impressive thing about the Chinese economy is the rate at which it grows and the rate at which that growth increases. They have the fastest growing economy known to history I believe.

I've been to china twice last year for my work (once in Beijing and once in Shanghai), and seriously, I had never seen people buy stuff like that. There is a shop around every corner and a HUGE mall every other street.
The people fortunate enough to have work will work overtime anytime, and even sleep there if necessary. I had the impression that they were working only to buy stuff. And living only to have more stuff. And the jobs aren't all cool. A good restaurant will have at least 6 or 8 "greeters"- Girls that all they do is say hello to the costumer. And the labor is still really cheap compare to a lot of country. Maybe, like a friend told me, there weren't able to buy for so long (because they were communist) that now it is like the first time you give chocolat or cake to a baby! They can get enough of it. That has to be great for a country economy.
I'm feeling renovation right now.. |
