Again, all of these were on the radio in the 70s. Killer Queen is a song by the English rock band Queen. It was their breakthrough hit, reaching #2 in the UK in early 1975. The Cure already had two albums and a demo by 1980 and was touring with Siouxie. Siouxie: It was not until 1978 that they finally obtained a record contract with Polydor Records, whereupon they released their first single "Hong Kong Garden" (which reached the top ten in the UK), followed soon after by their first album. As for Twisted Sisters... okay. They took nine years to get a contract, so you're technically correct. Thing is, you're right about Nirvana. Nobody knew them prior to the 90s. However, you can't say that of bands like Queen and Sioxie, who were already well famed before I was born (81). It's like saying that Elvis was a 70s singer because that's when he was more popular.
