Having problems getting on your favorite websites? You're not alone.

Before I decided to give Sympatico tonnes of shit, I got informed that the primary servers of North America are going offline.

UUnet, one of the most important root servers is nonfunctional and is unable to communicate with with the other root servers in north america.

It's not affecting everyone, but it is effecting the majority of people. For instance, I can get on one of my client's sites: [ www.kosherfoodz.com ] , even though they are being hosted on servers in Montreal.

its no big deal.
big shit a few routers and gateways went down.
v0idnull, Location has nothing todo with it.
It doesn't matter if your Site is being hosted in Japan or in Montreal. Its the way you get linked to it. You could be right next door to the person you want to access info and it might not work but for some people in Africa might have access to it.
Its all about the way you connect to someone.
There go could be over 30+ hopes away from your neighbor and only 5 to someone in floria. Location really has nothing todo with the internet.
Its all part of the WAN.
