no more fractal ?!! no more underground parties they'll all get busted its over ?! seriously when it comes to face the police AND the biggest criminals in ONE AND ONLY BIG TEAM, whats the chances of surviving ?? this is a very sad time for Montreal none of us will go to circus, they wont make a single dollar off this, but we're losing our means of expression we'll stay home and most will do more drugs, and they WONT GET IT off these criminals, they'll keep on getting it underground , but they'll have nowhere to go .. |

On doit prendre un break pour réfléchir… Mais, sautez aux conclusions hatives et paniquantes… En passant, merci pour l’appui, La Gagne du FRACTAL en a besoin!!!!! Oui, le projet Fractal dérange du monde, mais on est trop bibitte pour que certain puissent nous comprendre (incluant la ville, les pompier, police et autres genres de grosbras…?!##$#@$?&*()())… pour ces gens, techno, rave musique électronique… ect… est synonyme de gros cash, et de vente de drogue…avec fractal, le but de l’aventure étais de donner une place aux créateurs de la scene de la musique électronique… un endroit adapté a la création, sans trop de restrictions et sans pré requis tordus… Pis on roule pas en humer!!! Il semble que nous ayons été mal compris Si il est possible que nous fermions, c’est qu’a force d’avoir des batons dans les roues, notre situation déjà précaire est devenue impossible a tenir… Envoyer les pompiers a la dernière minute avant un événement, peut faire fermer nimportequelle place (en plus… fallait voir l’attitude du dit –pompier…entéka!)… Il n’y avais que des problèmes superficiels, rien d’impossible a régler, mais,la pression, le manque de temps…et peut-être le découragement nous a fait annuler l’événement de la fin de semaine… C’est d’ailleurs Mathieu (le promoteur) qui a pris la dure décision… Il reste que cette aventure nous a coûté plus de trois location en deux semaines et le montant nous aurions pu payer le loyer du centre… Comme on ne vend que du rêve!!? On a pas les reins solide coté financier… et essayer d’encourager le développement d’une scène de créateurs nous a coûté notre place… sembles-t-il… Nous ne regrettons rien… et surtout pas la dernière année…sur qu’avec des subventions ca aiderais… GO ON RAVE SCENE!!!! faudra-t-il qu’on se cache toujours pour exister? Pourquoi ce bâillon, cette peur de l’éternelle BIBBITTE RAVE!!! RIDICULE de se couper de toute cette beauté et de volontairement oublier son potentiel créatif. Merci pour votre présence et pour votre appui immense, Vous etes vraiment des AMOURS On aura essayé, On est pas les premiers, et sûrement pas les derniers!!! faut continuer!!! Et ,en passant, on ne sait pas encore ce qu’il vas advenir du fractal On vas tout faire pour continuer… Tous a vos pronostiques!!! A suivre… |

there was Clash on march 10th, at a new venue, it was small but perfect for the event, there was no problem with police or whatever. Back to the groove is coming up which will also be at a new place! and I never did any of my parties at fractal, cops came to TW3, they looked around and then they left. If they don't find anything illegal i don't see why they would bust a party... and i don't know the afterhour scene that well, i never went, but im having a hard time believing that a club like Circus, who can afford to bring the biggest djs here anytime they feel like it, would get involved with raves where the number of people attending is between 50 and 250.... anyway thats what i think... if its only a permit problem then get it, and reopen! |

 Coolness: 2749645 | You guys are talking like parties never got busted before... I've had a party busted before it even happened (Organized Confusion). I got a backup location so everything continued on. There was a Ray Junior party the same day. I can't really blame them for the whole thing but it's possible it was their group which called the fire departement before the party even happened. Who knows. If there is a will there is a way. The scene has lost many locations over the years... When 1919 was busted, did people say the scene would die? When the euro carting was busted did the scene die? When pie ix was busted did the scene die. No, no and no... BTW: There was a small rave like party right next door to fractal on Saturday. I heard the police didn't show up.
Whatever the case I hope Fractal stays open since they did so other things becides rave parties. No one really knows what happened yet. If people do find the culprit, there are ways of fighting back, even if the culprit has money. |
