Is there a way to see what bandwith a computer is taking on a wireless network?
I have a TRENDNEt router. The cheapest. I can'T see the option anywhere in the admin interface.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete
From the Windows Task Manager window, choose the Networking tab. Look at Network Utilization. |

So if my roomate 's downloading stuff off the wireless, is it going to show up?
This is only for my network card I think. Update » Bunnytronix wrote on Mon Sep 18, 2006 @ 4:16pm thx man.
I wasn't clear about what I need though. I need to set up a Polizei control post to stop them from leeching my bandwith. Fucking hippies. But if there was a limiter too, that'd be great. I could charge them for internet and get all the bandwith. Oh, is there a way tomake their computer crash when they download more than a song at a time? Without them knowing? I don'T want them to think I'm an ass or anything...

If you log into your router you can generally prioritize certain computers (using a mac address filter) to get more bandwidth. We did this at our old apartment. Check the manual to find out how to configure it. |

The best way to crash someone's computer is to make sure they use Windows.
