Can anyone give me a crash course on how to use it for cutting up breakbeats and sampling accapellas to match my beats? I just got it and am very excited to use it...I want to make sure it's done properly. I have the jist of things but I'll need some help...who's down?

This might be a stupid question. But have you opened it and tried yet? I thought it might be simplistic.
I'm feeling stoned right now..

i don't think its worth getting, all the features u want to use it for are better implemented straight into programs like cubase sx. i.e. timestretching (which is what u want for accapellas) and beat slicing (which only works well for breaks really) i'm pretty sure that logic does this too. try and find logic express 7 [k] ;) or cubase sx ... damn software is hard to find for mac ...

No I use Logic pro 7 for mac with the key...but if I want to put any kind of acappella in properly...I need to timestretch it, and I dont know how to do that with Logic.

ok.. sorry i can't help u i can't figure out how iLogic worx. but i've been using Cubase for 10 years and it is the DON ! u can timestretch audio in realtime, and make it faster/slower while preserving the pitch/key its in. i'm quite certain that logic can do it too, it is a matter of RTFM i'm afraid. i know that for most men, reading the manual means their balls retracting up into their pelvis, just like asking for directions... but sometimes sacrifices have to be made :/

recycle is really simple for slicing beats...
just enter the number of bars and the number of slices you want...
if its off pull the markers where you want em...
there is similar vst's in logic too.

and logic acctually sucks horrible ass for time stretching...

if its just for a bar or 2 i'd use an external editor like wavelab or sound forge...
but if you dealing with a whole accapella... you might wanna try slaving ableton.
I'm feeling my giant hose beast right now..

This is super unrelated but should i, from scratch, learn Logic or Cubase? I already know reason and live.
I'm feeling ripped apart right now..

If you need tips on that just holler Host_One@hotmail.com

I'm familiar with Rex Slicing in exs24 and it sounds great..and the sequencing is fucking butter, as long as you have a midi controller your good...it never ends with Logic 7
