here is what dnbnation had to say about generic and subtone on their reccent sucess as up nad coming foreward thinking dnb producers.

Fresh signing from vibez recordings, GENERIC returns to the imprint this time with partner SUBTONE for whats gonna be their first released collaboration and a devastating 12"

GENERIC&SUBTONE
Borderlands/Crosspoint
(release info TBA)

The release will also be featured on vibez compilation CD the SONAR project
mixed by subject13

and MCVerse (cruch) new DOAmix.

DJ support: )EIB( Vegas,Skitty, Basic operations, Verse, DJ Impact (rudeFM/revolution rec), The fix,
Looking to the north, some attention should be noted in the direction of the MTL. Good buds Subtone and design man extrordinare, Generic, have been making some significant noise as of late with a strew of signings and releases.
Subtone's latest release dropped in March on Bulletproof Recordings out of New Zealand. 'Death Blow' / 'Gallapagos' [CYAN018] started off the release schedule for 2006 and was sure seller in all major stores. Kiwi Dave's next signing came from Uk based Revolution Recordings. They snatched up 'Duality' [release info TBA] a heavy sci-fi influenced neuro trip.

Generic saw his first release on the recently resurrected Vibez Recordings. A collab effort with Ottawa's, The Fix. 'Connections' [VBZ033] is a runnin jagged edged stormer, it promo'd last month. And that brings us to present day, where just announced.. Subtone and Generic will be seeing the first released collaboration on 12'' @ Vibez. 'Borderlands' / 'Crosspoint' [release info TBA] are both crafted along the lines of a tech influenced deep space journey.
