Is that what it looks like it is? What does it mean when it says controller only?

How useful would this be for making psytrance?
I'm feeling the effects right now..

A midi controller is just a keyboard that controlls other units that make sound, they generally don't make sounds on their own. In that case, it's the controller for the Moog Legacy VST pack.

The microkorg is pretty good at doing a lot of stuff. Dunno about psytrance in particular, but it's got lots of really good bass sounds and a pretty kick-ass vocoder. You should deff. try it at a store to see if you like what it can do.

um... the first one isn't hardware... its software...

its a dope vst though... it emulates 3 classic korg synths and it comes with its own controller that looks just like an old analog syth but scalled down a bit...

i have the hardware version of the polysix coincedentaly... its a fuckin TRUCK!!

i rarely fire it up but when i do... it sound like the world is comming to an end.

the second one is a really phat really portable digital synth.

really fun instrument!!

you can put batteries in it even and take it on airplanes!!

honnestly i wouldn't use the little korg synth for psy. to me it sounds too dirty if you see what i mean. I know some psy producers use Access Virus or Nord Lead. it's more expensive yeah but they sounds so good. You can't go wrong with those (esp. the Nord Lead)

the micro korg has horrible keys on it though, they remind me of my casio I had when I was 10, it would probably be fine for electro or anything else campy

Yeah for Psy the synth to go with is the Nord Lead. That thing sounds amazing beyond description.

I got a used Virus B for 850 last year, and you could probably find one a couple hundred cheaper if you are lucky.

Avoid the Virus A, it lacks a lot of features.
