This is my first ever DJ Demo. As many of you will notice, it's full-on and nearly flawlessly mixed. I am, however, not trying to show off. I am offering this mix to anyone who loves psytrance and wants a good cd length of quality listening/dancing.

So let me know if this is a party worthy mix but most of all enjoy it.

I like!

Good mixing, nice flow, great tracks. I'll have to say I enjoyed the first half a lot more than the second... it kinda lost its momentum after awhile.

But I will say, I found myself bouncing a waving my hands around n' shit. I'd dance to your set if I heard it at a party.

Props.. FOO!

good mix little one. I took a listen last night and i must say its not bad at all for a first mix. you still need to work on your EQing because when you finally decide to make the track transitions, you just overkill the bass and honestly it scares me most of the time becuase of the large volume difference. As for the beatmatching as a whole, you seem to be pretty much on cue, however each mix still feels like its slightly off, and because your transitions are short (with the exeption of that long mix at around 35 minutes) they tend to come in a little strong as mentionned above.

Also something i noticed was that durring your mixing, you tend to have the MIDS a little high on the track you bring in, that's what gives your beatmatching the feeling that its slightly off.. try working on eqing those mids to bring it in smoother. Ohh yeah, and when you make your transitions, you lower the previous track too much, too drastically, also causing the incoming track to seem alot louder.

on the flip side, FUCk, what's that first track bro its NUTZ.. your track selection is also very interesting and impressive and i have to agree with Mico that your first half is alot more groovyer.. :)

great mix Mike and keep practicing.. this mix was definatly better than Frank's first trainwreck mix.. lol.. :P serriously, i didnt recall hearing any drastic off-beats in your set Mike !! :)

That's awesome man! For whatever reason I understand exactly what you mean with the EQing... I will practice that a lot now as I seem to have beatmatching down. I must admit that this set (being my first recorded one) has a lot of quick transitions and that in itself makes the contrast between tracks really stick out.
The truth is that during my set, I was preping and burning copies of my tracks to put them in the set, so some actually were really rushed. Also, I assume it's easier to mix sober, so next time it'll be better right off the bat! or rather without the bat... anyway!
The first track is Gataka - Night Becomes Day, the whole album is real fun :) I am going to have the tracklist up on my DJ page soon

Thanx again for the advice, I really appreciate and respect your opinion and experience. Once I feel satisfied with an absolute killer track selection, I'll distribute it to promoters, maybe you can even help me out with that :)
Besides all this, it's nice to hear from you dude. Take care and thx again
