I've met cutterhead - he's an ok guy... I have NO IDEA what his posts on here were all about, but I think people need to take internet arguments a little less seriously.

Anyhow... any of y'all feel like meeting up and playing records together... might be interesting to put theory into practice.

that is what he replyed when i said that if you put the same sound sample on top of another, there will be that phasing sound...

btw, im not pissed about that hes blasting me without any reasons, i just find it sad that he cant explain hisself without having to dissrespect people.

i dont doubt he might be an ok guy, but someone who tells me to screw myself because i said something i learned myself in a subject that was discussed here, internet or not, hes loosing all his credibility and i will not tend to go talk to him in person...

i just find it very sad that people here feel the need to bitch people to explain themselves.

You can use it either with a mixer (much better) or all internaly.. What you need to do is set your soundcard to have 2 outputs, usually you can turn the Line In to a Rear Speaker Out.. If you're using a mixer, you get some 1/8th to RCA adaptors and plug your regular line out to one chanel and the rear speaker out to the other. If you're not using a mixer, you plug your headphones into one of the plugs (usually the rear-speaker out) and in the configuration you can set what it uses to output the cue and master.

It's in the properties for the soundcard that you can enable that..

If you right-click the volume icon on the taskbar and chose "adjust audio properties" you got to set it to quadrophonic speakers

then open up the volume control, click Advanced, and you should have the option to change the line-in to a rear-speaker output.

K I know what you;re saying. Just gotta get my PC fixed and I'll try that.

I used to change those settings directly in Traktor and it would never work.

You'll see, Traktor is absolutely some of the best practice you can get without actually using vinyl or CDJs.. You can mix all internaly, but it really works better with an external mixer.. And then you've got your ENTIRE mp3 collection to mix with, no need to burn anything!

Dude, seriously in my case, the more action I get, the bigger asshole I become. The confidence of getting some gives me the energy to become the true asshole that I always strive to be.

i find as i get older i get more perfect beat matches, mixes that i don't have to touch in terms of of pitch adj. for like 64+ beats, it's almost like i had to melow out a bit before i could do that.
I'm feeling surly right now..

It comes with practice.. If you don't touch your decks in months/years, you aren't going to get any better, quite the opposite..

basdini - just imagine how much fun you'll be having when you can effortlessly ride mixes for minutes at a time. Adding a third table will force you to tighten things up a lot more - when you're working three decks everything has to be tight because even the slightest drift can turn it into a clusterfuck.

Getting rid of your decks doesn't mean you're getting rid of your skills - or even the enjoyment you get out of playing. There are always people who'll let you drop in and spin on their set ups.

Besides... there's a lot more to life than just playing records. Responsibilities come first.
