the fastest pitcher recorded in the guiness book of records is 109mph (eric gagne, nolan ryan, etc)
but apparently they have this new kid at the New York Mets spring training this year who can pitch at 168 mph!!! his name is sidd finch, apparently he just learnt how to play baseball and they invited him to spring training for a tryout, he used to be a buddhist monk , he also plays the french horn really well... the weirdest is he pitches with one bare foot, so only a shoe on one foot... wow, i cant believe it, i dont care for baseball, but daaamn 168 miles per hour! maybe its cuz hes so zen? yowzers |

I was like "BS!" as soon as I read that he was apparently a buddhist monk... or a former buddhist monk... I think it would be pretty much sacrilicious (yummy) to take those skills and profit off of them... |

up north we played inuktitut baseball
with whatever we could find - a stick - a sock a real bat and ball if we had one we would make bases with rocks and in inuktitut baseball we run clockwise and if the ball was like in a a ditch or down a hill or something we could keep runnign around base when you ran home it freed an out player and to make someone "out" you can just hit them with the ball you throw at them instead of having to run and touch them and i forget if we had 5 outs and 5 strikes when you swing and miss and the catcher catches it you are out good times under the endless midnight sun of summer! little kids playing at 2am in the sunlight .precious. thats my heritage there |

if you swung and didnt hit you can still run as long as the catcher didnt catch it.
to free someone you had to have a real home run. we would change the rules as we saw fit. picking teams was fun... best game ever |
