I have 4 burnt out lights. Can I throw them on the street or do I have to dispose of them a special way? They're the long white ones.

they are classified as dangerous goods and require special disposal
pcbs and or mercury or something
leaches into soil and water causing contamination
(i worked for environmental engineers)

though usually i think for small personal qualities
you can just chuck them as you see fit

sharron!! if u wana be really dumb, u can throw them against a brick wall(preferably outdoors, so you dont inhale the toxic dust from the explosion), they make some of the most satisfying smashy shounds of the light bulb family... or u couls just be a responsible adult and not even consider my juvenile disposal idea... ahem...

YEAH THOSE KICK ASS TO BREAK!!

the best way is to hurl them like a spear at your friends legs!!

just keep it below the belt!!

and if you sweep up the dust and broken glass you can use it to cut you blow!!

I was thinking they must make a cool pop sound and shatter into powder, I just don't want to litter the street in front of my appartment with skin-shearing glass.

It will make a pop thats for sure, I've broken a few in the past. Here's an idea, wrap a plastic bag around the part you wish to break, so it doesn't spread too much glass around, this is if you only wish to break it in two. You could always scope out your area and look for one of those large industrial garbage containers, you know.. the ones people hurl old office equipment into?, and just dump it in there.

Nooo!!
