ROMEO KARDEC - [ www.romeokardec.ca ]

Ferociously independent, Mr Kardec is nonetheless known to be very diplomatic in promoting the sound he loves so much. His ability to bring new music to more and more demanding dance floors, coupled with his DIY attitude earned him the respect of both crowds and fellow DJs.

By day, Francois can be found working at acclaimed electronic music label Turbo Recordings, where he fills in the position of production manager. Being so close to international talent and cutting edge music has definitely helped him forge his unique sound. For the record, it is Mark Dillon, label co-owner with DJ and producer jet-setter Tiga, who gave Romeo his first DJ residency a few years back.

The future for Romeo Kardec? Obviously keep on pushing the barriers of underground electronic music, both on the dance floor and in the studio. You can expect new music from the producer in 2006, as well as solid residencies and sought after guest spots at world renowned clubs. Rock On!

Melon
Having spent his teenage years in the isolated wilderness of Northern Ontario, Melon staved off boredom and dementia by seeking out and exposing new sounds. He quickly developed a healthy vinyl addiction and became obsessed with the baser elements of breaks and electro.

In an effort to expand his perception of, and influence on the rest of the world, Melon relocated to Montreal in 1999 where he met a group of like-minded artists, which became the Broken Crew.

A self described "dirty breakbeat punk" Melon seamlessly mixes sets that combine raw electro, dub, funky breaks and soul. His passion for music is simple; it's the one thing, through out all these years, that has never let him down.

The name melon is derived from an old proverb:
"A woman for duty,
A boy for Pleasure,
But a melon for ecstasy."
