anything else....woody [ allen...us ]

it was the second time i saw this movie and i think it's not the best one of woody...
i'm already not a big fan of him...
but i like christina ricci a lot !

woody allen is fucking obsessive with the complicated womens and cheat in general...
everybody is always perturbated and confused in his movie...with sexuel strange debilitation...
maybe he is....heu...HE IS !
why the other actor in his movie always act like him..
it's bother me.it's give me impression that he's so much in love with himself !
but jason bigs was a surprise...
after american pie he needed a part like that i think he was excellent !
normaly when the actor talk to the camera ( donc at me ) it's stress me out ( except for the movie high fidelty..) but this time i think that it wasn't too force...
all the characters are really well made and worked...danny devito is hilarious...

SYNOPSIS : Jerry Falk (Jason Biggs) is an aspiring writer living in New York City who falls in love at first sight with Amanda (Christina Ricci) and dumps his girlfriend to get with her. Seeking advice, Jerry turns to the aging struggling artist (Woody Allen) who acts as his oracle -- and that includes trying to help sort out Jerry's romantic life.

QUOTE :

Psychiatrist: Tell me about your dream. The Cleveland Indians all got jobs at Toys R Us?

Jerry Falk: Yeah. So what can it possibly mean? Look, I can't keep wasting my hour here describing lunatic dreams. I have a date with Amanda. I can't keep running around town on the sly and live like this. Amanda can handle it, but I need help. What do I do? I have to extricate myself from Brooke. It'll break her heart. She wants to marry me.

Psychiatrist: What comes to mind about the Cleveland Indians?

today I saw:

Kanzô Sensei (Dr.Akagi) by Imamura Shohei (who died a couple of weeks ago)
Quirky little film about a Japanese family doctor literally running into everyone's lives around Okayama when there's an epidemic of hepatitis in the summer of 1945... I enjoyed it for the dry humour and the richness of the many characters we encounter along the way. And wait till you see how August 6 is depicted!

i saw it last year at cinema du parc and i was totaly traumatized ! now i'm still traumatized but at least i can talk about it. 2 guys are behind the movie , jhon roecker and tim armstrong. so you can feel the punk californian soul in it...
it's funny if you have a bad taste bien sur ! it's so strange and politicaly incorrect that the big chain refused to sale it!
and it was kind of strange to see all the cast in a delire like that .

so be ready for muppet porn ,penis swastika and the manson(hanson!) familly who like everybody know killed the blond bomb sharon tate(sharon hate !)...

i dislike the repetitive shot in some editing...make me bored ! but i can understand that tey were only 2 to work on it !

cool interview with john roecker the director of live freaky, die freaky ! :

An Epic Interview with John Roecker
By KristopherTerrell
August 23rd, 2003

[ Filmjerk.com ] Can you give our readers who probably have never heard about “Live Freaky! Die Freaky!” an idea of what the film is about?
John Roecker: It really is a movie on how you can read anything and make it your own. Good or bad. Take for example the Bible. A book that was supposed to make people come closer together but more blood was shed from that book than anything else. This is what the movie is about: THINK FOR YOURSELF.

[ Filmjerk.com ] I take it your not a religious man and you don't like people just following religion (or government or anything, I guess) blindly without questioning it at times. Do you think people will ever start thinking for themselves or will the majority continue to be lemmings? Seems to be a lot of that in the US today.
Roecker: I think anything is possible and I believe there is a huge majority of very intelligent people out there. I just think at times people feel beaten and tend to get scared or give up. I just don't think religion should be a money making organization. There is never a need to send churches or cults money for any reason. If you want to feel good about yourself or make your God happy, give your money directly to a charity or a homeless person. But once again this is my opinion, and I don't want to be in a position of also dictating.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Where did the idea for the story come from? We don't really get totally original plots like this much anymore. Were drugs and/or alcohol used in any way to write it?
Roecker: Everything that is good in the arts is done by some sort of diversion. Mine was Sea Monkeys. They are very tasty. No, I was not on any illegal substance when this script was written. Just the legal drugs like caffeine and maybe a McDonald's hamburger (which is probably worse than PCP). But the idea was just an observation I had, and still do, on how you can twist any writing and make it some awful manifesto for control. I remember when I was in school and John Lennon was assassinated and his murderer said he was influenced by the book “The Catcher in the Rye." Then the book was banned from our library. Well, more people died because of the Bible so why not ban that book as well?

[ Filmjerk.com ] What's the look of the film going to be like? Are the puppets going be anything like those weird Christmas specials we all loved and still love?
Roecker: Yes, that is the look. A Charles Manson Christmas Special. It is all stop action, a pain in the ass but worth it.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Why puppets? Was it always going to be a puppet flick?
Roecker: Because puppets are creepy and don't mind working at 3 in the morning.

[ Filmjerk.com ] So how did the film come to be produced by Tim Armstrong (of Rancid and Operation Ivy fame) and Hellcat?
Rocker: I have been friends with Tim for quite awhile and I was wasting time on helping bands that screwed me in the end and Tim said now it is your time. And for that I am eternally grateful. And Tim was the only one that had any balls to produce this film. He totally gets it and did not change a thing. He and the people involved in this movie are so fearless it is inspiring. Because I am such a chicken sh*t .

[ Filmjerk.com ] Did Tim play a part in the casting of the flick? How did it come to be full of punks?
Roecker: Tim let me cast whoever but it was easy because everyone in the film is a friend of his and mine.

[ Filmjerk.com ] How the f*ck did you get big time box office hunk Viggo Mortensen and Italian cult actress turned American action film sidekick Asia Argento to voice characters?
Roecker: Viggo I have known for a thousand years and I am the godfather of his child. He was supposed to be Charlie in the beginning but got really busy with the Hobbit movie so had to take a lesser role. But Billie Joe did him proud. And as for Ms. Argento that was complete kismet. Tim and I have been such huge fans of her it is insane. And when we approached her she immediately said yes. Tim is now working with her on her new movie and they are now great friends but I am still just a stalker.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Did Asia let you see that angel tattoo?
Roecker: The only time I can see her tattoo is on a magazine cover.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Sometimes twisted films have messages and hidden subtext. “A Clockwork Orange,” “Dawn of the Dead” and even “The Care Bears Movie” all had social commentary. Will “Live Freaky! Die Freaky!” have any hidden meanings? Should the viewer take something away from the film?
Roecker: Like I said before, don't believe anything you read. Especially this interview it is packed with lies. I am actually a chicken that is typing these answers and someone just sprinkled chicken feed on the keypads. I am just a cock.

[ Filmjerk.com ] A cock, huh? The place mats at the Chinese restaurant I go to say I was born in the year of the cock. Should I worship you? Anyway, exactly how hard was it to get the film made? It seems a lot of people want to make movies and have screenplays. What makes you so special, huh?
Rocker: I am special in the retarded special way. People let me do it because they felt sorry for me. I have an enlarged head and size 12 feet.

[ Filmjerk.com ] What do you think of the new Rancid record?
Roeker: The new Rancid record is so amazing it is unbelievable. After all the things they went through and then used their pain and making it into art, my hat goes off to those boys. It is a beautiful album about death, divorce, rejection and then it has hope in the end. My final thought is if you don't get this record your an idiot.

[ Filmjerk.com ] What do you think of the new breed of punk, this "mall punk" crap that's all over the radio and MTV these days?
Roecker: I have been in the punk scene since the Seventies. I saw the Germs, The Ramones, etc. And what I loved about punk then, and still do, is that it is so diverse. In Los Angeles we had so many different types of punk bands, the Go-Go's, Blasters, Gun Club, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, etc. They all were different but they all had one thing in common. They were all misfits, society's outcast and that made them punk. So I don't lay judgment on the new breed except for that chick with flat hair that wears ties and cannot pronounce David Bowie. She blows.

[ Filmjerk.com ] I wish she'd blow me. I don't know, it seems today all you need to be “punk rock” are some Dickies and some hair dye. Oh well, I guess. To steal a line from those Miller Genuine Draft commercials (and I think Hitler may have said this, too), “filter out what you don't need and keep what's pure.” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” remake is going to totally suck and the filmmakers and producers should totally get butt-raped, right?
Roecker: They should only be butt-raped if they are hot. That is only fair.

[ Filmjerk.com ] If you were running for governor in our f***ed up state of California, what would be your main talking points?
Roecker: I would say that Fletcher from Pennywise should be elected king of America. Zima's for all!

[ Filmjerk.com ] What's a DVD that everyone should have in their collection but have probably never heard of?
Roecker: John Water's “Female Trouble.” He’s still the master. But everyone has heard of him.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Is this going straight to DVD or will there be any theatrical screenings? Like maybe a premiere or a film festival run?
Roecker: Yes, it will be on DVD so all of America can use it as a coaster for the beverage of their choice. And we are still waiting for theater screenings, there is not a hot demand for puppet movies only animated fish stories.

[ Filmjerk.com ] Can you think of anything scarier than a zombie shark? I can't. 'Cuz I mean, sh*t, sharks are scary enough as is then someone goes out and make them a f'n zombie...
Roecker: Hmm, Fletcher from Pennywise drunk can be kinda scary.

ok....friday night was a moment in MY history !!!

i had my bapteme of white castle burger...
this legendary brooklyn fast food chain...
we were in the club and i was like i have munchies !and when my friends discover that i'd never been there, they were like :oh jesus fuck we have to bring u there !!!
hahaha!so at 4 am we got there !
their burger r good... and the ambiance is so yiarrrk !so i decided to see again the comedy harold and kumar go to white castle...
it's a really stupid movie but i made pipi in my pantalon at the rakoon scene...and it give me taste for an other mini burger !!no,non...it's a joke, one time in a life is enough! lol !

for the fan of the movie they make a sequel....
check this article :

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — When we last saw the heroes of 2004's "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle," they had managed to get themselves out of prison, ditch Neil Patrick Harris, take down the "extreme!" sports punks and stuff
themselves full of sliders. Once Maria Quesa Dilla finally returned Harold's flirtations and headed off to Amsterdam, however, there were many questions left hanging: Are the boys still obsessed with a Cruise-possessed Katie Holmes? What became of Freakshow? And, most importantly, will the boys leave the hash bars long enough to find true love?

To answer those questions and more, John "Harold Lee" Cho giddily revealed, the script for "Harold & Kumar Go to Amsterdam" is currently being rolled and readied, with plans to light it up in a mere seven months.

" 'Harold & Kumar 2' is coming up," the 34-year-old South Korean actor beamed. "We're shooting for January right now to go and shoot this puppy."

Although originally viewed as a box-office dud, substantial DVD sales and a huge cult audience eventually convinced the studio to bring Harold and Kumar back for another hit. Giving a shout-out to the fans who made it happen, Cho happily dismissed straight-to-video rumors and confirmed that the flick will get a full theatrical release: "Absosmurfly," he laughed. "It's going to be excellent."

Cho said the script is as much about Harold and Kumar getting to Amsterdam as it is about them actually being there. "That's what we're trying to do in the movie," he said of their journey. "There's going to be some complications [to the trip]. What? Really? Obstacles in a movie? Yes.

"I actually think it's funnier than the first one," Cho added, revealing that the boys won't be quite so hungry this time around since it's hard to find an international White Castle. "I think we're abandoning the whole burger thing, but there are other things. It's going to be a really funny political movie. It's going to go there."

As fans know, the first flick had a lot more going on than just dumb stoner jokes. With that in mind, Cho was asked if the new script is in fact a thinly veiled indictment of the Bush administration. His answer might sound surprising: "You don't know how close you are, actually," he said.

Of the surface story, Cho said, "Harold and Kumar are going to go through a friendship crisis — it's going to be deep. And Kumar may find love."

Quickly, he added, "But not with Harold. Don't look at me like that."

In addition, Kumar's other true love will also make a return appearance. "There's a chance that you might see some romantic comedy with the bag of weed," Cho said, referring to the enormous baggie from the original flick's love montage.

The actor also revealed that Neil Patrick Harris, now a TV star once again with "How I Met Your Mother," has been written into the sequel. "I certainly hope he says yes, because it is waiting for him," he said.

"Harold & Kumar Go to Amsterdam" is expected in theaters in late 2007.

i was so impatiente to see the remake of the hills have eyes...
a lot of the reason was for the creator behind this movie : alexandre aja and levasseur....
i really liked alot their first movie haute tension/high tension(review page 1 or 2 of this thread...)
for sure i was little septikal because normaly remake never arrive a la cheville de l'original...
but this one really worth it !
but i'm a puriste and i prefer tout de meme the original one who was less gore but more terror...
but the remake have big quality...it impress me very much!
the fact that they used manual special effect and cgi(computer effect)...the result is incredible...
i like gore a lot and i apreciated all the gory scene...
i was surprised to lear that the mutation picture at the begining was not special effect
but REAL pictures of birth defect , result of the agent orange in vietnam!
like in high tension , the sound was so much working...wow !
i was surprised to ear some industrial/hardcore during the rape scene...
these 2 guy gonna go far...aja was co-writting with levasseur and directed it!!they seem so implicated on the set!
their are so talented and perseverant! it was funny in the making of, see all these french guy directed
and worked with american actor and producer...
they don't have any predecesseur en france and here they come,
making a remake a la demande of the master wes craven(who produced this one ) !!!
i also liked the politic references and the ton of the movie...
10000 time better than the remake of texas chainsaw massacre....
well ...GO RENT IT !! ! 9/10 or BETTER go rent the original and the sequel...

SYNOPSIS ; the Carters, an idyllic American family travelling through the great American southwest. But their trip takes a detour into an area closed off from the public, but more importantly from society. An area originally used by the U.S. Government for nuclear testing that was intended to be empty...or so they thought? When the Carter's car breaks down at the old site, they're stranded...or are they? As the Carters may soon realize that what seemed like a car casually breaking down, might actually be a trap. This trap might be perpetrated by the inhabitants of the site who aren't pulling a prank, but are out to set up a gruesome massacre.

the soudtrack is so good...and wes did really well for the budget that he had...
he wasn't famous in that time !but now i can see why our generation will prefer the remake...
i have to say that the remake is the best i ever saw !the idea to keep the same story but ad the mutant nuclear details was excellent..
the end of the original one is little too short...like if wes have missing money(it wouldn't be a surprise for me !)!
it's rare that someone gonna ear that from me : this remake worth it...i think it was justify...it's bring new element ...
but only alex aja and levasseur would had be able to do it correctly !

Another good redneck movie that came out not too long ago is "Wrong Turn" directed by Rob Schmidt...it's basically a more updated American Horror film
that came out in 2003. Just as shocking and gory as the remake of "Hills" and it's just creepier the way they hunt people down, all disfigured and yelping
Hyeenas ...*shudder* the way they off people is delightful too, hehehe
