Yo repo man was the SHIT! Emiliooooooo!!!!!!!
Anyways, Snoop Doggy Dogg was the principal character in the movie "Bones"...I was pointing out how bad of an actor he is, but its still priceless to have him in film, it's hilarious...like in Starsky and Hutch. |

serpico....sidney [ lumet....us ]
this is my fav police movie...i hate police but serpico was the incarnation of what a cop should be... he fight against coruption and i have alot of admiration for that...the mise en scene is sobre and the light seem often soft and so natural...i like it... they seem to had few problem with the sychro/audio/image...but that's happen to the best director...also i think that pacino is the best actor of all time...he's so natural in a cop skin or dealer skin...he can play everything !!! and sure i like to see my city during the 70' ... wow....nyc have change so much...now i'm more scare to walk at night in mtl than here. in brooklyn...i like it the musik too...and my fav scene was when he was with his animal...i think it's a great idea...he seem to love them a lot...maybe because they are pure and honest...they can't betraye u... i remember few years ago when the tele quebec tv show reach him and realised an interview ...i was really impress because he almost never accept to doing that...i would like to own it...my american friends were realy surprised when i told them this... SYNOPSIS : Serpico is a cop in the early 1970s. Unlike all his colleagues, he refuses a share of the money that the cops routinely extort from local criminals. Nobody wants to work with Serpico, and he's in constant danger of being placed in life threatening positions by his "partners". Nothing seems to get done even when he goes to the highest of authorities. Despite the dangers he finds himself in, he still refuses to 'go with the flow', in the hope that one day, the truth will be known. |

TONIGHT : ALEX GARLAND (the book) VS DANNY BOYLE (the movie)
FIRST ROUND : THE BEACH DING DING DING DING !!!! i'm a huge fan of alex garland.he's a talented author...once a year , each year, since maybe 8 years i read one of my fav adventure book , the beach...each time i realy enjoy the story and all the peripeties...and all the reference about vietnam war...and i like exotik country like thailande ! but each time i wached the movie i was so desapointed...for sure danny boyle is a good director but i think the adaptation was bad...it's so cheezy...and the big studio changed crucial details...like the main character, richard,in the book he's english...not american... and all along the movie i have impression they didn't want that virginie ledoyen and guillaume canet talk to much...they were probably too french...and the ending of the book is so gore that they didn't want to do that for the cinema....because they wanted a family movie...but a a+ for the scene under the water this is so hard to make...but they are so like dvcam filmed that it's fucking ugly! so all l'essence of the movie is totaly lost...all the best adventures part aren't in the movie! aaaarrrg ! it's look like a movie for little girl en chaleur of dicaprio...in fact it is !!! and the musik a mal vieillit and always been so touche moi please! eeewwwww sugar ray ?! ok maybe for moby even if i'm just like: THEY ARE ON A FUCKING NATURAL BEACH CAN U STOP 2 SECONDS BEING FASHIONABLE AND UNPUT THIS FUCKING ELECTRONIQUE MUSIC ?????? euuuh ...ok i'm sory i'm just little angry with this one...and i don't understand that danny boyle was really good friend with garland...probably for the big $ ! but if i was an integre artist i would be piss of ! anyway..... the book 10/10 the movie 6/10 THE MOVIE THE BOOK SECOND ROUND : 28 DAYS LATER DING ! DING DING DIIIIIING ! i realy liked the book...maybe little less than the beach but when u have zombie you always litle win me in advance...anyway alex garland have a particular writting...very unique...when i start i can stop ! for danny boyle adaptation of the movie few years ago i watched it in theater...i remember that i liked a lot the first part but the second part in the army camp is A CHIER ! check it out, the sequel 28 weeks later is in pre-production...the american army is gonna debarque in [ england...ca ] be a good movie with possible references of the politique actual situation but i supose that he's gonna be gentil gentil.... so..... THE BOOK : 8.5/10 THE MOVIE : 7.5/10 THE BOOK THE MOVIE also for the fan of the video game HALO microsoft has hired alex garland for writting the screenplay....guillermo del toro(blade 2...hellboy...mimic...) is supose to be the director...peter jackson is the executive producer...due for summer 2007 ! i can wait to see that...maybe the best adaptation of a video game ??? HALO |

anyone seen Cannibal Ferox? they spill 80 pounds of sea-turtle entrails in this movie. and the director once got called into court to prove that certain murders in the movie WERE in fact simulated, and not the real thing..... |

for any fans of Quebec cinema there's a show that has since been cancelled but is available on DVD and consists of sometimes funny but mostly absurd short stories made with a low-budget...it's great (Betty, you know what I'm talking about)..."Phylactere Cola"...it's about 3 years old but I just rented it again so it being fresh in my mind, figured I'd recommend it...yeah... |
