my boss started order quebec movies...it was fun to watch la face cachee de la lune/far side of the moon from robert lepage with american people!!!ca fesait 20 fois que je le regardais mais je l'ai trouve toujours aussi int.

munich , steven spielberg ,2005,usa...8.5/10

with spielberg sometime it's brilliant, sometime it's just shit...
but this one is in the first category...the directing is impecable...the light is fabulous...digne ds le genre,d'un grand realisateur americain...
i always admire movies who had set in fiew different country..like sodenberg....u need a lot of experience, logistique but hey!i think he had the $!
the actors was realy good....one of my fav newfrench director and actor ,mathieu kassovitz proove again is talent...
i didn't like some of the scene...like first,i don't give a fuck to see him fuck his wife...it's not realy helping the comprehension of the story...arrrg ..i hate cheezy scene...i always feel the producer wanted to make is quota! but when it's edit with the image of the hostage get kills...it's bother me...but the ensemble is bloody and thrilling..

sinopsys=it's based on real events... a team of secret mossad agent try to kill the terrorist cell responsible of the 1972 olympic massacre...a real tragedie.

I thought the sex scene was a pretty good way of depicting the agression he had cooped up inside after going through those experiences.

All in all, I had a great feeling when I came out of that movie... Not (only) because of all the death and gore, but because of the way Speilburg managed to keep an objective eye when directing it. Considering he's Jewsih, there wasn't any real sympathy on behalf of the athletes who died, nor was there any demonisation of the Palestinians who killed them. He conveyed a real idea of how sensless the fighting is -keeping politics aside- and considering it was set back in 1972... it makes you wonder for how much longer this war will be fought.

8.5/10

yeah...your reading of the sex scene is good...but i just though it was surjoue...
your last sentence make me remember the end of the movie when avner is talking in this brooklyn park and the last camera movement finish on the twin tower...all this shit is so sad...
and for someone who make realy hard watching doc about the holocaust,it's true that he don't take to much politic position...

Doing an analysis of breathless for a class... ill post it here when I'm done... that said, I had stopped smoking one year prior to seing this movie and ever since, every time I see it I just cant fucking help myself to go out a have a cigar... fucking Belmondo! Seriously it's always just so great to have Michel insult you in the first five minutes of the movie!

yep there's no denying it... godard rocks your mom

haha! you will have so much fun to analysis this one! i did it 2 years ago...i think every cinema program make this one!even in usa!
it's one of my fav ever! i dont know if you red my comments fiew months ago on this thread,i was like: when i was 14 and i saw this movie i started to smoke like belmondo!!!haha!it's so fresh!
if u watch it with friend...it can easely become a runing gag...
like the famous last dialogue of michel: degueulasse ! ou la delicieuse patricia : tu m'aime ou tu m'aime pas? haha!
what a good movie! a perfect one...if u like this one,u should watch bande a part...et pierrot le fou...
if u are realy into the nouvelle vague...u should watch some truffaud....personaly i started with the trilogy les 400 coups...
i don't know if u made alot of analysis but i can give u fiew advice!
try to find at the library old magazine like sequence,cine-bulle...u know...old french from france magazine...
a bout de soufle is not so easy...surtout if you don't have habit of analyse...
the best is realy connaitre chacune des caracteristiques de la nouvelles vague...
et surtout faire le rapport entre michel et le hero typique de la nouvelle vague...a
awwwww! i think i'm jealous of u...i miss my school realy bad and my teachers!!and st-lo is a realy cool school!
i start in next fall here...
anyway tu posteras ton texte [ ici...ca ] me feras plaisir de le lire! :)!

ok dans un tout autre registre :

the ringer...ok it's not godard...but a real cute comedy...i laugh alot...i waited for worse when my manager at the store gave me a bad look when i pick this one yesterday!i was like: it's for my husband...hahaha!(sorry my dear love!)
but finaly i think that it's not so bad...and i realy admire director who choose to pick real special people...
like this belgium movie...le huitieme jour...it's probably not so easy to make repeat a text with a trisomique guy!!!
but they are so cute..i can't decide wich one is my fav!!!.at the end i was like:i want my own special person....
so the subject is marrant but th directing was so bad...like realy americancheezy...and the building of the story too typique....
but hey ! i don't think the objective of this movie is to become a cult chef-d'oeuvre!!!
7/10 !
