I've owned a pet squirrel almost 1 year when i lived in nicaragua. It was not evil at all! In fact, it was the best pet i ever had. It would hang out in my shirt pocket, eat mangos, run after lizards, jump on strangers... loads of fun. It slept under my pillow so i always had to make sure he was not there to not crush him wheni went to bed... ah... the memories..

I suppose you would keep it in a cage? Would you tell me where nicaragua is. Southamerica , more like central america I think. I assume you found the squirrel there. Did you find it or buy it?

Nicaragua is in central america, above costa-rica.

We found the squirrel next to a tree in our yard. It was a baby and the mother was nowhere to be found. Basicaly he though we were his parents

It was free to move as it pleased, and it always came back to us.

The only time we put it in a cage was when we went to friend's house so their monkey wouldnt toy around with him. Unfortunatly, a dog (in nicaragua, ppl dont own dogs, they are free to roam the land) pushed the cage over, scared the shit out of Ardilla (the squirrel, Ardilla means squirrel in spanish, yes, unoriginal, like our cat Gato and our dog Pero) which ran away or got eaten we never found out.

I was so sad/mad i took a butcher knife and went after the dog. Fortunatly, i did not find it. I was 10 i think.

guill: oui ce sont des ecureuils roux d'amerique centrale.

IT's nice that you were able to keep it without putting it in a cage.
Thanks for the information, the location of nicaragua, name of animals in spanish, etc.

Adrilla... golden.

Sounds like more of a compadre than a squirrel. :)
