According to the UN Human Development Index (HDI) which is based on:

The Human Development Index (HDI) represents the average of the following three indices:

Life Expectancy Index =
Education Index =
Adult Literacy Index (ALI) =
Gross Enrolment Index (GEI) =
GDP Index =
LE: Life expectancy
ALR: Adult literacy rate
CGER: Combined gross enrolment ratio
GDPpc: GDP per capita at PPP in USD

Canada ranks number 5 in the world while the U.S trails at 10th place.

Top thirty countries

However, our position in fifth is actually a dirty shame when we look at our track record. In past years Canada has been often and consistently ranked first in the world for our quality of life:

The number one ranked country in each year of the index.

2004 ¨C Norway
2003 ¨C Norway
2002 ¨C Norway
2001 ¨C Norway
2000 ¨C Canada
1999 ¨C Canada
1998 ¨C Canada
1997 ¨C Canada
1996 ¨C Canada
1995 ¨C Norway
1994 ¨C Canada
1993 ¨C Japan
1992 ¨C Canada
1991 ¨C Japan
1990 ¨C Canada
1985 ¨C Canada
1980 ¨C Switzerland

We also have the ninth best life expectancy, which is quite impressive considering all the crap we eat:

HIGHEST LIFE EXPECTANCY2 (in years): 2005
1. Andorra 83.5
2. San Marino 81.6
Singapore 81.6
4. Japan 81.2
5. Australia 80.4
Sweden 80.4
Switzerland 80.4
8. Iceland 80.2
9. Canada 80.1
10. Italy

with all that said and done, I think we have somehting to be proud of eh?

Well for one thing, the electronica scene is more developed here than the States. Look at all the electronic music festivals were have just in Montreal. Mutek for instance.

One thing I like beter here is the less extreme patriotism we exhibit as a country. Yeah ok, its our country, it's fun to be here, but you don't see us wearing a fucking canadian flag on ALL OUT CLOTHES, plastered over the walls of my house and on my goddam car, with GOD BLESS CANADA in big bold red letters.

Fucking crap, bottom line is its just a peace of land you live on, not Paradise. They make it look like Utah and Wisconsin is a helluva better place to live at then the Caribbean islands will ever be.

Retards.
