In October I'm going to be taking free courses called "Searching Within" There is a study center in montreal where you can take them in person. There is also online courses. Its 9 weeks. I thought it would be pretty interesting to take, and its free. Maybe some of you might be interested in taking it too Over the 9 weeks you can learn how to: * activate Awareness and consciousness * see the causes of problems and negativity * observe within yourself * interpret your dreams and use them for self-discovery * improve your relationships * develop intuition * overcome problems with drugs, alcohol, and addictions * bring order to your life More about it here: [ www.gnosticweb.com ] Theres also other courses you can take online or at the center. Like Astral Projection. Time to be all hippy and spiritual! |

So true. I think there are some very veery select times when it may be the best thing for us at the time, sometimes we do need to escape and discover somethign new but there is a fine line between experimentation and self-healing. Drugs won't heal anyone except to teach them a lesson the hard way. If you really want to discover yourself and get away from the world, I think Heather's solution is the best.
I have a friend who took peyote with a shamans in Mexico and wow. That trip did really do somethign good for him and it sure was interesting to hear about to. It changed his whole life for the better actually, and it may have been a even been a good thign that he took too much that time. If he took it again though, he'd probably get nothing from it. Nothing comes for free and nothing can be controled, except what's inside ourselves, so we can't rely on anything else. Such a hyppocrite I am anyways. When I'm not dooing drugs or drinking alcohol.. I've always got my weed.. it's liek I can't calm down without it. I'd rather just depend on myself. |

Well classes in person are on Tuesdays, but if you take the online course, you get a email once a week. It might be too late to sign up and start now, but you can always try it in a few months from now. You will be sent a video of the teacher telling you about searching within yourself and the new exercise to practise on that week. I got the first video last weekend, and I have to tell you already my whole way of thinking is starting to change. |

I wasn't think you were. I only went off on drugs to say that what Heather's doing and drugs are both ways of self-medicating, but one is productive and one is not. |

you have a point...did your friend take his peyote in chip form(for lack of a better word)or in liquid form. I tried some a few years back and the trip was all over the place...not something i would do again but well worth the experience. |
