Are There Any Real Lounges In Montreal?

I've been to many loungey looking places in and around montreal, most of them dissappoint in the end. Sure they may look nice, but music-wise, they are ass.
I'm sure there should be something in the Plateau, St-Laurent, or whatever, area. I'm very unfamiliar with those parts. I'm looking for a place that has nothing but downtempo music playing. A place to relax and possibly eat something too. Does anybody know of such a place? |

I haven't been there in a while, but the Ice Lounge at the corner of Crescent and Maisonneuve was pretty chill, open only on fridays and saturdays as I recall. It's on the 3rd floor. |

Fred, i wonder how much it would cost us to start a night at the Ice lounge.
I mean, why shouldbn't we do it? We could revive it, and make it something else than "just the 3rd floor". |

Paul, I dont know if you're looking for a trendy type of place, or just a comfy atmosphere and some good tunes..
If you're looking for option b (comfy ect.) I suggest lubba lounge on parc.. well bleury. Inbetween sherbrooke and president kenedy, its on the east side of the street, diagonally across from place des arts metro.. |
