12:00 A.M. should actually be noon and 12:00 P.M. should actually be midnight.

P.M. means Post Meridiem (before noon)
A.M. means Ante Meridiem (after noon)

If it's noon (12:00) then "After-noon" should only happen at 1:00. unless you believe noon should be 1 second long. (12:00:00)

Noon should be 12:00:00 untill 12:59:59, which means the "AFTER-noon" only starts at 1:00:00 "P.M."

thereby, noon should be 12:00 A.M. and mid-night should be 12:00 P.M.

but i guess this is sort of a chicken/egg thing, which comes first, noon or midnight?

youre an ididot...
noon is non-existant... it last no time at all... it's a fraction of a millionth of a second long... it's an instant...
how long is it 1:14 p.m. for? not 60 seconds... because after a billionth of a second, it's no longer exactly 1:41p.m.
it is never noon

I can't believe it took someone this long to realize that "post" means after and that "ante" means before. i only wished i'd read it sooner so i could have pointed such out and felt smarter.
