Here, cops use a lil pepper can to stop someone and they have the entire media machine and the population after them "That was violent! bla bla bla. Useless! bla bla bla. Unrespectful! bla bla bla"...go check other countries methods before crying and complaining like a baby! We're have it smooth here. |

yeah but even if they were rapists or escapees, Candian cops here wouldnt bash their heads on the floor as if the bar brawling....it's just not the way they operate and if they did.... well then a big deal would've been made out of it mostly if cameras are rolling |

sorry to say it, but is it our place to tell other coutries how they are to govern themselves? it's nice to think our way of life is the best/only way.. but telling others how to act isn't much better..
yeah those cops were being brutal, but i didn't see anything that the UN (for example) would say is inhumane.. |

| Yeah, over here in north america you can't even detain someone trying to cross the border WITH A CHAINSAW COVERED IN BLOOD. I'll bet if someone charged a group of cops with a running chainsaw and tried to kill them all and they shot him, he would be able to sue for police brutality.
Everything is cause and effect, maybe these people actually deserve the amount of force they were being subjected to? 'cause last time I checked, cops in ANY country don't just randomly start attacking people unless they are provoked in some manner. |

yeah ok Neoform, I personaly thought that my post was very objective....where did I give an opinion? I've heard of brutal stories like that...even worse ones....I didnt say this was the worst shit ever or they should never blablabla did I?...did u forget for a second that I was born in Mexico, where the cops make people disapear and their entire families if they feel like it without reprimendation?.....yeah cause I thought u did for a second there hahaha.

| What must be understood is that none of these people you see dressed as riot police chose to be where they are. South Korea, like North Korea, has a policy of conscription; this is because although combat operations ceased on July 27, 1953 when an armistice agreement was signed, the war itself was never officially declared over and the De-Militarized Zone (frequently known as the DMZ) which designates the border between North and South Korea has remained one of the heaviest armed stretches of land on the planet since the cease fire. The riot police are actually 18 and 19 year old boys who are told that they are soldiers and have absolutely no clue what they are doing and why they are doing it. I am not making excuses for their actions (far from it); rather I am trying to put those actions into perspective. What do you expect to happen when you arm teenagers?
Not surprisingly there is an abundance of brainwashing within the country (it is practically officially policy). How else could it be possible that the popular opinion here is that South Korea is actually the center of the universe? You would be amazed at how upset the average South Korean gets when they find out that this is not necessarily the case… or perhaps you wouldn’t if you knew how incredibly melodramatic South Koreans tend to be; it is not uncommon for people to immolate themselves during protests. Suicide is strangely considered to be more honourable than be taken captive. When the police do approach a building that is occupied by protestors, they do so armed with mattresses in a desperate attempt to soften the ground as the inevitable numerous protestors leap to their “honourable” doom.
This video is indeed horrific, and absolutely inexcusable behaviour from those who should supposedly be both serving and protecting, but the governing body, not the individual policemen (as women are not conscripted), are the problem. And they know it. Why else would the police boot camps be not unlike concentration camps? Why else would they subjugate these boys through means that are so incredibly inhumane that they seem like they have been taken from the pages of S & M magazines not police procedure manuals?
