| Do you people think it is getting as crazy as in Toronto and US for example ???? Wtf is goin' on ?? Same thing as with manifestations; as soon as 5 persons hangout together in a fixed physical position,the law callls that -illegal gathering-, even if this is 5 grandmothers manifesting for their rights or whatever...they don't want people to discuss freedom or whatever; this is getting a totally opressive state....What do you think ?????? |

| This week-end's bust at IDJ was a good example of power abuse; they had a mandatory for busting the venue,ok,but their behavior was totally abusive-disrespectful-low brain and stuff.....that was close to a riot happening in,'cos they weren't doing their job in a clever way; only assholes having fun breakin' some other people 's fun........ I was so mad i kept on yelling at 'em and all they could say was; shut up and sit down or we'll beat you; how clever......... |

| to be honest with you, this recent outburst of power-tripping by officers isn't exclusive to the rave scene. another scene i follow and take part in closely, the modified car scene, also has similar problems. i was just reading the following discussion:

I would be interested in actually doing something, to fight for our cause (peace!) but i do not think that one or two people can make a difference... Lots of people have to take part and it has to be serious OR i guess parties will have to be more underground |

| Neoform,i agree and know about it...i asked for their cops number,legally they HAVE to give it if you ask; they refused....THEY filmed and took pictures and they took someone's camera off the person,menacing with violence.....Once in a manifestation my girlfriend was violently beaten,some people fimed it,they destroyed the video camera....it is getting insane,even thought they have legal and moral limits to respect,they don't AND anyways its their words against yours if you go to court,so you lose for sure..........I'll think about something else for a couple minutes 'cos i'm getting all pumped and red...i tink if i see a cop in the streets later i'll yell at him again ...uncontrolable hate of authorities..... |

just make sure next time the second they show up get a few people to whip out their cameras. really, they can't ask you to turn em off or confiscate em. make sure the tape survives tho.. |

| I know its illegal ; all i've ever seen of cops action in my lifetime was illegal-abuse,but who judges them as illegal; themselves.... THEY ARE THE LAW,so they MAKE THE LAW the way they like it.....Trying to sue some police actions is a neverending story that always gives them reason.....Think about these stories of a black guy who was beaten to death by white cops; it went to court for a long time and finally the cops ended guilt-less because the system they work for is protecting them as long as they act against free thinking- free acting of diverse natures.,....Everything that disturbs the plan which makes people hooked on cigarettes-alcool-medications-tv-unhappiness is ok for them to fight against.....I agree with you,but all i'm sayin' is how make these laws respected when this is its reps that breaks it....Not a chance for the people...and that's why such things like guerrillas happen,because people realizes that their own freedom is in the hands of some unknown rich-reptile motherfuckers and that the cops work for this empire over free consciousness...COPS don't protect people,they protect the rich.......Damn,i'm frustrated.......... |

I think you people should start looking at Toronto, an extremely conservative city, and look how the laws concerning raves were reversed. Why? Because people stood up, rallied together, and defended the rave scene, showing that it is not as dangerous and destructive as people thought it was. After one year, raves were legal again.

| Voidnull ,what you just said is inspiring...I'm not sayin' there's a big conspiracy against raves in particular but against FREEDOM itself.....Look out what's been going on around the world ,Don't you see a lot of injustice ?????? The only difference between North America and other countries is that here they keep people so submitted that they think there's nothing going wrong.They don't even have to use that much violence because we don't go down the streets to scream........instead we do our own little thing and imagine its all good....Oh yeah,the cops are there ton protect you,the politicians are there to defend your point of view and rich people are there to help just in case eveyone's dying in hunger.....so true...........Fuck it ! |

| Galaxy, i can assure you i share your hatred of POs but yelling at them will only make matters worse for you...i know. Though it is illegal for them to beat you for yellin/illegal for them to bash and take cameras, that's not going to stop them, because if it's your word against theirs, plain and simple THEY WIN. If you want to have something to show it's smarter to have one person act as the "spokesman" as it were and to actually confront the police, while someone, not in direct view video tapes it, if things get worse, its smart to have a secure place to put yout tapes, for safe keeping. I've been stoped more times than i care to mention, most for dumb shenanigans but also for some more serious things, my only advice, is to talk to police in a calm manner and don't provoke them, oh god whatever you do don't provoke...it never ends up good, I was nearly cuffed for being a loud mouth, right in front of Dawson. I still have yet to be arrested, given a fine or any sort of record.
I sudgest if you want to bust some pork chops do things quietly without being fully obvious, and also, make sure you know your rights and the laws well. |

| i wish i could have been up there to see it myself, from what galaksy said it seems like the cops were just on a power trip trying to intimidate people into starting something so they could make havoc. pure authoritative bulshit trying to assert itself. you cant fight it every time, sometimes u gotta go with the flow. anyone know how they found out about it, did they just call the infoline or did someone tip them off? |

| Are they really protecting you ???????? Aullin White,i agree with you full-on....i just get really emotive because i have si much hate againt authorities....... I should relax first next time.....i think i'll get a nice video cam soon and i'll put myself on a mission of filming power abuses and illegal interventions by cops....Sure they win anyway,except over one's consciousness.....And they won't get us from there....We're free inside at least (as long as we're not brainwashing ourselves with tv all the time...).... |

| this doesn't apply to IDJ but I'm sure cops don't know the difference between different styles of events.
Lets see: most of the people at raves are on drugs, raves are full of drug dealers, raves are run by drug dealers, raves are full of kids who legally aren't allowed to be out that late, anything else...
