Hey Noah, iand all [ rave.ca ]

I was just thinking, well, it would be really cool if all users had a small section to upload junk, like say, txt files, spreadsheets or anything that's not .exe (to prevent viruses).. The reason im thinking about this is because recently i've put together a contract for my upcomming bookings, and it would be cool if we had the option to upload the txt file to include something like that in our profiles as a DOWNLOADABLE LINK. :) We wouldn't need much room, maybe like 250K max, or you can just take it away from our Music space avaliable..

What do you think??? can this be done? is it worth the trouble??

The ideal situation would be if it worked like uploading a Demo Mix, where you have the option to delete the file if you don't like it, you can view what you have uploaded in your MEDIA section..

:)

Thanks noah..

All illegal activities done in illegal circumstances are well... okay!

well its more the fact that suing for such small amounts is pretty useless. unless you feel like paying your lawyer more than your booking fee

haha true... besides I think the whole monetary concept of suing is pretty retarded indeed. Not showing up hurts much more your "reputation" (as a serious dj and so on...) than anything els.

If it's under $2000, can't you be taken to a small claims court?
If i'm not mistaken, you don't even need to have a lawyer, you just have to represent yourself and plead your case infront of a judge.

Ok and then you win (cause the other person does not wanna waste their time showing up) and then what... The person does not pay you... What you going to do...

I think it's below 7,000$.

Why would you sue someone for which you didn't pay yet? If he refuses to pay... take his turntables or whatever the same value.

no, then you post up the contract and tell the world what an un-professional promoter that person is..

And yeah, like mentionned, for small claims, you don't need a lawyer...

Hey, if you don't like the idea, fine.. but i think its the best way to ensure things.. and its not only a contract for money, also about other things such as timeslots.... :)

Exactly.

And anyways there's always a better solution than the Law. The Law is for suckers.

In this case the solution would be, punch the promoter in the teeth as hard as you can, then leave with the "@ the door" money.

Laws are meant to be broken... that's why they exist.

Right, so next time I see your mom or your grandma or your sister I'll be sure to rape the shit out of her, because laws are just suggestions and no one cares, right? I mean, your obviously down, it's only illegal because "the man" wants to keep me down.

Actually... see: If laws weren't meant or able to be broken, they wouldn't exist.

The whole world runs on the principle of mutual respect for each other. Laws are put in place to help maintain that. If I just feel like shooting the busdriver in the face and taking the bus for a ride, I am disrupting a whole lot of people's lives with my disrespect for the order of things. Some laws, yes, are really, really fucking stupid. But for the most part, they are there for a reason, and that's to keep our streets from looking like Brooklyn or LA slums. If living with no law is your main goal in life, I suggest you move to some crackshack in brooklyn and see how long you stay alive.

I think you misunderstood my post: I meant to say that if laws were NOT breakable - they wouldn't exist.
