| I think about this car way to much. like once every few days. I now think that they sould be goverment sanctioned and every body should have to use then instead of the shit we use today. there such a fucking perfect solution. Not only is the air that comes out of them cleaner then the air that goes in. But the air that they run on can be compresed with like windmills and tieds and other non constant sorces of energy. I'm sorry I just think these cars are cool and a way better idea then that feul cell shit.
On the other hand I bet that the oil industry(read us interest) will try to stop this from happening. |
|

| Of course, and not for the reasons that you'd think. If there's less of a demand for oil, the price will go up so that the people mining it can maintain their profit levels. Plastic is made from oil. The tar on roads, oil. Nylon. CDs are made from plastic. If we stop using oil products, the price of every OTHER oil-based product will go through the roof. Personally, I think it's a great idea that we should run on cars that are environmentaly friendly, but I'm not up to paying 25$ for a 2 liter of soft drink or watching the taxes go up because roadwork now costs like 300 times more. And can you imagine the comotion all the women would raise, seeing as most fabric is synthetic these days and the cost of clothes would go up a few fold? |
|
Coolness: 340340
| heh, all they haffa do is reduce production.. |
|
Coolness: 85680
| I admit that this car would cause mass economic uphevel. Also lets just say the hole world starts runing on thes compressed air stuff how would that affect our atmosphere wouldn't that be bad if like everybody filled up at once and the air about the eath srunk a meter or two. |
|
Coolness: 686265
| If they reduce production, that's still way less money they'll be making. If your used to selling 50 units a day of something at 10$ a unit, and you go down to selling 2 units a day at the same price, you go out of buisness unless you jack the prices, because oil doesn't mine itself. There's equipment to service, which requires people (who don't work for free) and requires parts (which cost money).
And, it would be no diffrent for the air than how it is now. Matter can never be destroyed or created, just converted. To fill up an empty tank would mean that the air that it emptied would be going back in. |
|
Coolness: 85680
| first of all oil isn't mined it's pumped second plastic is dirt fucking cheap right now so whatever how bad could if posibly get, nobodys going to be fighting for nielons when the ice caps melt. ya air is not created or lost but if you compress 6 billion squaremeters of are it's bound to have some sort of global effect. |
|
Coolness: 340340
| i just farted, i think it's having an environmental effect on my room. |
|
Coolness: 686265
| well, either way the pumping requires people and parts. And like I said, plastic may be cheap NOW, but compared to gas, they sell a lot less oil for any 2 plastic industries than gas consumption. If you cut off that gas consumption, well, the previous example I used was too small numbers. Imagine that in the millions.
And Ian, I see a green cloud heading my way man, you sure your still alive in that fallout? |

Coolness: 340340
| my arm just crawled away and is attacking the vcr.. other then that? fine. |
