stupid fred, whenever microsoft releases a patch, you HAVE to install it, or you're an idiot.
i don't care if it breaks your useless crapass aerospace software, SP2 stops popups.. that's what matters, ok?

besides, all updates that microsoft provides are critical to what you're doing and should ALWAYS be applied.

speaking of which, i heard MS this week was forcing all copies of XP to install SP2 without the owner's permission.. just because they see it as a required update or something..

I agree with that, if everyone had SP2 then the internet would be a safer place and people would not complain about how windows sucks so much. All SP2 updates (the critical ones) will not install if you have SP1... You might as well go back to Windows 3.0 if you want to run old versions of software...

Come to think of it, I never installed a virus program, becides Microsoft Antispyware I never really needed a spyware program except for the one time I let a girl use my computer (and she decided to open her hotmail attachments), I have automatic updates automatically install all patches and I never ever ever have problems with my computer.

Well I really never have problems and I'm sure it's cause I keep up with my updates... People who have trouble it's because of 4 reasons:

1) They have a bad copy of XP which was either not cracked properly or just bad copy.
2) They don't have a program like MS Anti Spyware which warns them and allows you to block changed to the registry.
3) They download bad copies of other software that have hidden agendas.
4) They open every "Open This Attachement To Find Love" in their emails.

If you don't do these things or have good software all the time there is no reason for windows to fuckup...

It's been my experience these days that that's the only one you'd have really needed to put on the list, because the only people stupid enough to open anything they get blindly are the same people that stare at a spot mid-aid and their eyes glaze over when you mention the word "registry"

FUCK YOU.

Install SP2, it'll make everything better.

Half way through, SP2 blue-screens, reboots, and now I can't even boot to a command prompt, safe mode, nothing, it just goes into a reboot loop everytime and form of OS is suposed to load up.

there is also some software that gets screwed up by sp2. we weren`t allowed to install it at ubisoft cause of that. I don`t know how or why, but what do i know.

I never had any kind of problems with updates on cracked windows. I doubt they care, they could have prevented that a long time ago.
