| A lot of the artists who painted in that style were actually trying to reproduce the style of children's art which isn't as easy as you think...
A lot of people who do abstract art can also do beautiful classical style paintings as well, so it's not right to dismiss an artist based on one "modern" piece that might look like it was done by a 4 year old... |

real artists WORK on their paintings, fakes ones just chuck em together and say "meh, good enough". |

| I know a friend who does abstract and it takes a very long time to make it... He can also do great classical style paintings..
People who pay a lot for abstract paintings are ussually paying for the artist who made it more than the actual painting, and to be a successful artist you need talent in the first place... If you decide to paint a red line down a black backround and people pay millions then why argue about it.... |
