listen.. did you hear anyone say that NO ONE should get bursaries?
no... you didn't... and if you did, you're obviously illiterate and should DEFINITELY NOT be getting a bursary anytime soon

what most people have been agreeing on here is that TOO MANY PEOPLE, who would otherwise be able to afford school but are too lazy to get a job, are TAKING ADVANTAGE of the bursary program
*I* am paying taxes for some lazy fuck to go to school for free? no fucking way... (and yes i pay taxes even though i'm still a student, i made a lot of money this summer and reached a higher tax bracket... and yeah, i worked all summer, 2 jobs even, at one point I had 5... and i havent worked a day since september 4th)

man, i've got no job, am in school right now, and living on my own.

*I* should get myself some of that free money, that way i can hit the bars every weekend instead of staying home cause i don't have enough money.

Then again, that'd be promoting the problem.

Ahhh... So is that what it's about?

Your no getting your fair share of the pie, so you figure that no one should, right?

Aren't bursaries only handed to those with exceptional grades?

I agree with you Dino, yes, it is a bitch when some fucking pot-head who spends his $2000-bursary cash on a new pair Hilfigure jeans, and prostitutes.

But people who don't fuck around, and rely on bursaries as means of surviving in this city, DO get fucked.

But hey...

What exactly is your beef with the fact that bursaries are being turned to loans?

i'm totally okay with that decision

if you take your education seriously, you know it's the most valuable thing to your name.
why not pay it back? pay back the 12 000.
the fact that you have a university degree gives you a much higher salary than you normally would anyhow.
