the Roy Street Collective
and Concordia's Fine Arts Student Alliance are using their illusion to turn the clock (hanging from Flava Flav's neck) back (II the future) to the only year where you could get away with wearing backwards fluorescent parachute pants while i) moshing ii) trying to memorize the Fresh Prince theme song, and iii) figuring out who killed Laura Palmer: 1991! The party goes down from 10pm-3am Friday November 29th at 111 Roy Street East. Tix are $5 at the door, and inside this beautifully decorated studio you'll be able to: - Check out trippy glow-in-the-dark art installations! - Play early-90's video games on giant screens! - drink cheap booze and win costume prizes! - talk about sex while playing truth or dare! As well as dance your hammer pants off to the sounds of: DJs MILLI VANILLA ICE (RAF) vs. MISTER VAIN (COREY K) - early '90's dance hits/oldschool rave breakbeats! DJ STATIC - Middle school rap classics! STEPHEN STEVEN STEFAN - Live Tony Toni Tone remixes! ROBIN ROBIN - live electrobeats using the Gameboy Camera's sound sequencer! DJ MODEM 2400 - rock and roll and slow jams! |

*sings*.. In west philidelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chillin' n' millin all cool just relaxing, out shootin some b-ball outside of my school, when a couple of guys, they were up to good, started makin trouble in my neighboorhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, she said, you moving with your aunty and uncle in belair. ( dut dut dutdutdutdut dut ) I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "FRESH" and it had dice in the mirror! If anything I thought that this cab was rare but I thought man forget it "yo home'z to belair" ( dut dut dutdutdutdutd dut) I pulled up to a house at about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabby "yo hom'z smell you later" Looked at my kingdome I was finally there, to sit on my thrown as the prince of belair, |
