 Coolness: 320 | I'd like to have kids ... one day ... not b4 I'm 40... my mom was 38 , dad 42 when they had me . I think having a kid when ur in ur 20s or 30s isnt a good idea . Too much responsabilities + u lose ur freedom . But when ur 40-45 ur more mature ... and u have the time to watch ur kids growing up cause giving them to some babysitterall the time is very lame . JJ I'm not saying young ppl cant be good parents , I just know I wouldn't !

I don't really wanna get married either but, if the right person came along and asked me I might say yes...or wait until like after retirement and marry someone who enjoyed all the same little things in life that I do and we would enjoy them together..I guess in my case I would see it more as a bond. |

as for kids... as much as i love em, i dont think i could live with myself if i brought another one onto this god forsaken planet. sure its "alright" to live on now, but by the time im old enough to be ready to dedicate my life to shaping/maturing another new life... i doubt the planet will be a suitable condition. If i were to get married, it wouldnt be for kids, since i think im probably gonna adopt. it would be for the experience... and the honeymoon! (as for mindsets comment about how the only point of marriage is for kids) thats a half truth. yes, the original reason for marriage was to form a solid environment for children, but it was also a form of control used by Catholicism. Since people who have a family and a house are going to be much more god fearing/controllable then single men and women who havent found much of a point in living yet. The truth is, marriage is out of date. Which is why these days, there are so many divorces. People who have parents that are still together are the oddity these days. |
