| i got the warnings, i just let it expire cause i would never have thought some asshole company would snatch up a domain that obviously doesn't belong to them.
i mean really though, when i take this up with ICANN my case will win simply because they have no reason to own [ djneoform.com ] I'm *the* only dj neoform in the world. |

| its a free contry Ian, and your domain isn't Microsoft... he can make up a phoney story stating that his new dj names is Neoform.. clash know's whats up.. don't let your shit expire.. and like, why would you anyways?? to see if you can get it cheaper?? lol..
good luck.. |

| ehh, i'm not repeating the story again, i've already said 3 times why i let it expire.
and if anyone said their name is dj neoform i'd sue them since it's my dj name. (anyone remember why 'DJ Tipsy T' changed his name?)
and the company that is holding my domain is what ICANN calls "cybersquatting"; this is when you buy up a domain for the sole purpose of selling it.
they aren't doing anything with the domain, and that goes against ICANN rules. |

| you wont win. |

| i thin kyou are proceeding from the fallacy that in order to own a domain, it must represent who you are in some business or professional fashion. that is not true.
while they are cybersqautting, just because you are dj neoform doesn't giev you automatic rights over that name. |
|

| ok, so when an arbiter takes a look at my case, then asks the current holder of the domain why he owns it..
dj neoform is a personal trademark. it's really that simple. |
|
Coolness: 56410
| do you actually have it trademarked? Is it protected in the US and Canada?
I got my domain back because it had been actually hijacked by a hosting company without my knowledge or approval after a period of inactivity. Not because I claimed I owned the copyright on that name. You would have to prove that somehow them holding the domain confuses the public as to what dj neoform really is if you went on that tack. |

| Unless it's actually trademarked, there's nothing you can do. Shitty deal. |
|
Coolness: 300235
| actually that's not true. If he has proof that dj neoform is his artist name and that he has a fanbase he could probably do it. But since there is no paperwork of him ever getting paid for a dj gig and that he does not have a fanbase theres not much he can do |
|

| hahaha... |
|
Coolness: 50565
| Sorry to say it man, but you simply fucked up. You left it to expire , and when someone actually got the thing, suddenly you get offended?
Dude, you let it expire.
Let it go man. |
|
Coolness: 340575
| i'm offended cause:
-i've always hated domain campers. they're just as bad as spammers.
-they have no business registering that domain. if there was actually another dj neoform out there who registered the domain, that would be something else.. ie, i'm not fighting the fact that there's a company called neoform (check [ www.neoform.com ] even though they came up witb the name after i did.. |
|
Coolness: 202135
| maybe it's time to change your dj name anyway ? |
|
Coolness: 340575
| uhh, why? |
|
Coolness: 202135
| I think you should change it to DJ einstein-rosen bridge |

Coolness: 153965
| Funny thing is... if neo wins this, it'll cause somewhat of a panic because anybody will be allowed to do sue the companies from now on. |
|
Coolness: 340575

|
Coolness: 69885
