oh i seen the Ufot drivin in cars, he isn't silly like that

this discussion is one of pure opinion

cdj's have many advantages over vinyl

and

vice versa

just like the battle over analog and digital
just a thing of preference

in the end, vinyl and cd's will both disapear, then we'll be spinning all our tunes off a 200 gig memory stick that we can carry around our necks and plug into digital computer decks

work with what you love

just don't bash others

the only downsides to CDs (IMO):

-Doesn't look as cool
-Takes longer to find your cue point

Advantages:
-No need for backcueing
-Phrasing your mixes is a lot easier
-CDs don't skip when people dance close to the decks
-You'll never get feedback on CDs.

look at the new Numark cdj, that thing looks damn cool...(only because it has an actuall 12" vinly you use to manipulate the music)

and with most cdj's these days, the machine can remember 4 if not more differnet cue points for each cd, and the machine will remember the cue points for each cd so they're there whenever you load up the cd (at least the Technics does)

i'm pushing both sides here

but i gotta agree (speaking from experience with the Technics only) that cd scratching still has a little whiles to go, sounds alot better, but nowhere near great...anyone tried scratching with the Numark??? i heard its better than the technics
